Uploading Glitches to Youtube - Glitches vs Game breaking

Hi my name is DomisLive and I'm sure most may know me by my youtube channel or just hearing hate about me over the forums.

I want to apologize if you feel some of my content has ruined your experience on GTA Online and that was never my intention, I create content for YouTube and my job is to give my subscribers what they want to see, whether its a Glitch, Leaked DLC, Funny Moments and so on.

GTA 5 Youtubers see me a DLC Info guy and you guys see me as a glitcher and apart of that is because I uploaded the infamous How to kill someone in your apartment glitch (and I wish I could take that back), I didn't create the glitch and when I tested it out with me and my friend we thought you could only kill people in your own garage and little did I know I would start a wave of people waiting in other players garages ready to kill them.

Recently I've been uploading car duplication videos after I stopped the first month of GTA Online, I was never against uploading them, I just stopped uploading them along with money glitches, but I still continued to upload RP glitches but didn't upload game breaking exploits.

The reason I started to upload car duplication videos is because its frustrating as a youtuber to see other youtubers grow insane amounts from uploading duplication and money glitches without getting banned when you're going straight and narrow for so long and growing off of fair content, I've said so many times in my videos I wish rockstar would do something but after a while, enough was enough.

But other than how to kill someone in your garage, which later I found out it was game breaking exploit and that was the only game breaking exploit that I have uploaded since November.

A few months ago I privated my money glitches and I suggested other Youtubers do the same, I hate seeing people lose their cars for something that's patched and I also did it because I didn't want to profit from them anyone since it is the one glitch that I have spoken out about.

At this point you guys can say whatever you want, but over the next few weeks I'll be hosting TDM, Races, and Car Meetup lobbies just for forum members just to speak with you guys so you can understand me better.

I may ask for likes in my videos that doesn't make me a money whore, one thing that I will admit is I am a grow whore, anyone that has ads on their videos is doing youtube for money but I'm still able to respect my viewer and members of the community be responding and showing respect to them.

You can think whatever you like but I am different from other youtubers.

Dammit mods, y u ban pop corn gifs? If they leave this open, its gonna get good.....

OT I respect the effort you've put into this post and your statement regarding garage killing is plausible. However I'm one of those who has no trouble seeing wall glitching as game breaking - not literally of course, but ruining the fun for people who innocently pass by. I only use YouTube for mission walkthroughs and machinima (as far as gaming goes) and that's unlikely to change,

The problem here in lies when people have to come out and state they're different.

Your first problem: "I give my subscribers what they want". Whatever happened to posting what you want and what you like for you and not them? In reality you've defeated your own thread before it could even take off.

You also cannot feign ignorance (unless you're 8 years old and have never played a game in his life), "I didn't know garage killing is game breaking". Really? You also cannot try to take a moral high ground now considering the things you post, being no different than any of the others.

Asking for likes may not necessarily make you a "money whore" but it definitely screams "I need attention. I need to validate myself through others the only way I know how - by sinking to unoriginal lows". Whatever happened to uploading things just to share for the sake of sharing? People somewhere somehow will undoubtedly like it anyway. Popularity contests are overrated.

What you really need is to re-invent yourself, turn a new leaf, something that's actually productive and beneficial to this gaming environment. The path you're on now is no good to anyone.

What comes next is up to you.

Look Dom, from my personal view, I don't dislike you and your channel because of the type of content you choose to upload, it's the manner in which you choose to do it.

First, we go through the cheesy intro where you ask me to like for chop and the main fact of being asked to like something I haven't seen yet just leaves a bad taste in my mouth from the start. Then it takes 2 minuets to tell me about your giveaway/contest/livestream, then we finally get into the subject of the video.

After that's over, and sometimes in the middle of it I'm asked once again to like and comment. Your channel is just a cliché. Your channel is no different from any other GTA Online channel.

I don't have a problem with harmless glitches, I just have a problem with your overused style of making them.

My advice: Make people cone to your channel to see you, not to see what the latest glitch is, or when new DLC is coming, or to participate in a giveaway.

You are beating a dead dog here buddy, we will not sympathize with you, nor think that you are doing the GTA community favors or are an asset to the community.

Brian B does nothing for the community either. All there is from them is automated responses, that, 90% of the time are not even related to the issue that is going on.

Who cares if you did not come up with the kill people in their garage glitch, or all the other glitches that cause problems in the game, you are STILL posting them to youtube to teach others how to do it, instead of talking to your mud buddy Brian B.

Asking a mod not to lock your thread is basically asking them to lock it. Ask modnation, he knows all about it lol. Look at him hating lmfao.

Also, you know already know how 98% of this forum already feels about you, so why even bother. The other 2% just doesn't care.

Another thing, it's f*cking hilarious how most of the people here hate you but at the same time abuse/use the glitches you and other youtubers post. The irony and hypocrisy truly is amazing.

I appreciate the respectful feedback, but you have to understand that 90 % of GTA videos on youtube are glitches that is what the crowd wants to see, you guys on these forums are the minority in this issues on glitches.

You don't grow on youtube by giving people what you want to see, you have to give your subs what they want, that's like me selling you soda that only I like.

I don't understand, why do you come here anyway just to apologise? You don't seem to care about the hate on the forums, and I doubt that many of us watch your videos or are part of your subscriber base, and those who do are a very small minority of your subscribers.

No, no, no.

That right there, is why you are called a money and like whore.

You should be putting up the content YOU want to see and that YOU enjoy. That, in turn is will help you find subs that can relate to you and will be a long time viewer.

No one comes to your channel to see what Dom is up to or what your opinion is. They come to see the latest glitch.

That is why your channel will fail. Once GTA glitches go, so will your viewership and ultimately your channel.

My biggest beef is that you (and the 1000 other clones of you) are getting the "harmless" glitches that I like to use patched faster.

Second biggest beef is the whole "like and subscribe", big orange text, crappy intros, douchebag voice cliche that you also share with your clones.

Like this post for chop.

The game would be a lot better without all these videos explaining how to do game breaking glitches. I get that you just want subs, but you aren't getting them the right way. You get subs by posting original content that they find enjoyable. You don't have to post what they want. And besides, you aren't really walking the walk if you keep uploading glitches.

That's where you're wrong, if you have seen my live streams then you know thousands of people line up waiting a invite just to play with me or they ask me to upload other games, when watch dogs comes out I'll prove this to you, I doubt that game will be as glitchly and the need to see glitches wont be huge on that game.

Maybe I'm in the minority here but I much rather watch something strictly for viewing pleasure because it interests me. Maybe I play more honestly than most. Whatever it is, I don't know. But I will again suggest the idea of - who cares what the crowd wants? Don't let the mindless and numb masses shape what you want to do. You have your own sense of self, identity and value system. Use it.

Defy and be different by being you. It's completely possible to grow (if that even matters to you in terms of viewers on YT) by posting what you like and find interesting because you like it and find it interesting. And again considering this isn't about actual sponsorships (you yourself mentioned it) then to hell with what the "followers" want - it's completely irrelevant. It's not hard to network from that starting point - there will always be like minds. Conformity should only go so far and this isn't the place for it.

It's similar to liking a band in middleschool because everyone else likes it but maybe it doesn't vibe with you. Why pretend to go along? I might be making too many assumptions. I'm assuming you're a person who doesn't necessarily agree with harmful glitches/exploits/loopholes (I use that word heavily because the vast majority of these things are indeed harmful - most people are just too narrow-sighted). If you're not that kind of person then I rest my case and disregard everything I just typed as it's lost on you.

It's on you, not us. Good luck.

@Dom, I guarantee that your Watch Doge videos come out they will get only a fraction of the views.

The reason for your livestreams having success is because it is quite rare that someone with your following actually livestreams GTA. GTA Online is dead on twitch, and it only gets a small revive when someone like you streams.

If you can't see that no one comes to your channel for you, then your channel is beyond saving.

You knew exactly how some people would use it, and that it would be abused, yet you still uploaded it. Stop trying to play innocent. You are such a tool. Just stop dude.

Of course they will, I will need to build that audience, not everyone wants to play or watch that game.

Then, you'll have people there for Watch Doge and for GTA.

That doesn't solve your problem. You're goal should be to build up a faithful audience that will watch anything you put out because they like YOU and YOUR content, not because they want to see gameplay of a certain game.

Well, then there's hope. You seem to have a brain then and a decent sense of right and wrong. I'm not going to tell you how to run your channel as I don't particularly care. It's yours to do with how you see fit. But it's understandable what others have posted. It's more about the methods you use. I'm not here to argue that though. What I will say is that you need to think more. This isn't second guessing yourself, that's different. It's more about a level of decency to gaming culture. There will always be people who are too lazy or too interested in exploiting but like I said, perhaps you need to re-invent yourself.

I'll give you an example and it's the only relevant one I can think of as it pertains to GTA:O. I'm sure you've heard of Broughy. He takes the time to organize/test/post useful and beneficial videos/discussions about the racing and vehicular aspect of this game. It's a great tool to help people learn and develop opinions and/or even inspire them to see for themselves. This is hugely positive. I'm not saying you have to do the same thing but it's merely an idea. There are also countless folks that upload videos of gameplay or even lifestream whatever - races, death matches, chaos in free roam, car meet ups - I mean honestly the list is pretty endless.

What you really need though and I still cannot stress this enough, nor can others commenting, is to find some level of individuality and interest that is personal and intriguing to you and that you want to share for you, not because of them. You need to stop thinking in the mode of "attendance building". That'll come on its' own, stop trying to force it by conforming to what the lazy and childish and destructive crowd wants to see - they're wastes.
