Kuruma

I'm currently trying to cosplay GTA III. My online character already looks like Claude. Since Claude never really "owned" a vehicle(E.G CJ: Sweet's Greenwood; Niko: Roman's Taxi) so I decided on the teal Kuruma from the intro. Any cars similar to the Kuruma? I'm thinking Ocelot Jackal, but i'm open to ideas. HELP!!!

You might want to try the Karin Asterope.

Jackal is the only car I can think of at the moment that closest resembles the Kuruma.

Edit: The Prairie also resembles the Kuruma, though not as much as the Jackal as the Prairie is a 2 door.

I loved the cheats in that game i think i remember there was one cheat that let you jump high over stuff.

 

There was a truck in GTAIII that was on the second island i loved and wouldn't drive anything else it was the Cartel Cruiser

I actually haven't played it since i beat it and that was 14 years ago?

 

I've played a little bit of it on my iPad but it's too hard play it on there so i bought it for my PS3 along with Vice City/San Andreas and i've been playing them on and off

I would instead go with the Banshee.

If provided pics below. For the GTA 5 one, get a roofless one (random when ordering, though). Dark blue with white stripe. In tuner wheels, you can find the 3-spoke wheels like the GTA 3 one has. I think the Banshee is a better car as everyone remembers the Kuruma but the Banshee was the first "supercar" you could get in GTA 3. Most would go steal a mafia Sentinel but if a fast car was needed or you wanted to do car stunts, the Banshee in the car shop near 8-ball was the one to get.

So at one time or another Claude Speed has "owned" one of these , so just pick the one you most like.

Kuruma a Buffalo? Wat?

 

OP - honestly, it is whatever you say it is. Whichever sedan you think looks the best, I say go for it.

 

However if we want to go by evidence, heres how we do it

 

1: "Kuruma" is Japanese. Its doubtful an American or European car would have a Japanese name. So therefore, that eliminates

 

Buffalo (American car irl)

Premier (American irl)

Primo (american irl)

Asea (american)

Fugitive (american)

Staner (american)

Washington (american)

Jackel (english car irl)

Tailgater (german irl)

Shafter (german irl)

Oracle (german)

 

2: It seems to have genaric hubcaps and does not look like a Luxury car. So that eliminates

 

Sultan (Japanese sports sedan)

Intruder (Japanese luxury sedan)

 

3: It is a 4 door non hatchback sedan powered by a gas engine. There is no evidence that it mimicks a hybrid motor. So that eliminates

 

Dilettante (japanese hatchback hybrid sedan)

 

So therefore, the answer as to the closest car to the Kuruma is the

 

Karin Asterope

If it was GTAV, I think Kuruma would be manufactured by Karin, which is Toyota. And I must say that Premiere looks like it the best. Asterope could be similar, but I can't ignore that glass roof.

 

I have 2nd character kinda look like Claude with asian blood. I wish there's a guy with african american character to cosplay as 8Ball's and we run around in orange jacket and cargo pants to match LC Penitentiary jumpsuit.

Well he doesn't really own a car and I think for most the more memorable cars used was the Kuruma and the Banshee. There's also the Infernus that's used a lot in stunt videos (Cheetah may be its counter part). It really depended what players did when they first started GTA 3. If I was to do this, I wouldn't take the Kuruma as Claude's car as people would be guessing what car it is. What is it, a green Kuruma if I recall? While the Banshee is the real thing (modernized). There's no Kuruma 2.0, only cars made by the same manufacturer that somewhat resembles it. If you take the 3-spoke tuner wheels and make it blue with white stripe (as I said above in another post), it's easy to notice its roots mostly due to the fact it's got no top and no one uses those wheels. I'm still interested in seeing a recreation of the Kuruma by the OP or anyone here, though.

I love that car and I would try jumping the broken bridge with it. It never got far.

 

If I can suggest another one, I would go with the Bifta as the BF Injection:

 

Try to get the same wheels (probably in sport) and make it the same deep red. The Bifta is lower, though, so that could be an identity issue.

Keep your eyes peeled for the Kuruma in a future update around August, from Maibatsu. And yes it will look similar to the original one from GTA3. (no, don't ask for source, dismiss this if you doubt)

 

But yes the Felon is a nice alternative for now

I have a Sandking XBL with the same color scheme as the Cartel Cruiser because it's the closest your gonna get. Now i just wish there was a car that could replicate the Diablo gang car

The Premier defo looks more like it than any other car.

Keep in mind that everything is a newer generation model in the HD world. I dont recall R* ever bringing in an entire passenger vehicle from 3d to HD in same exact form. Even the friggin Moonbeam went from the 1st gen Chevy Astro van (1980s version) in GTAIII to the facelifted Chevy Astro EXT version (1990s updated version) in GTAIV. Basically, every car.has evolved to look different, like the Banshee. Some cars (like the GTAIII Manana) just slowly died off with no real successor of any sort

 

Thats why we are forced to extrapolate and interpret data . Hence, thd Japanesd Kuruma is a Japanese car. And thats the Asterope.

 

As for the glassroof/sunroof, that is an option availible for many cars. Heck, the Shafter (Benz e-class) has an IRL option which is the panaramic roof, which makes the entire roof covered in glass.
