Is the short answer.....long answer is I kill any white blips that all of sudden decide to make a beeline towards me for no good reason. If you're not passive, you will die. Bounties. Coming to the aid of crew mates/friends. Anyone who blows up my PV. I hop in my tank when the bounty is on me, spare anyone I encounter unless they bring out explosives. Then goodbye. I've also begun to shoot first whenever I spawn in a lobby too close to another player. I chose to no longer be the sucker who gets gunned down tryna be nice. That can be U

when i see a plane or helicopter in the air, i have to shoot them out or shoot it down, it's fun to practice sniping

 

sometimes like 5 - 8 players will come after me, when i go to passive, they just keep chasing me... annoying as f*ck

The biggest thing that motivates me to relentlessly kill another player is when I approach with a chopper, tank, or even on foot and I clearly had MANY opportunities to kill the other player and didn't do it.....and then they turn around and kill me.

 

It just leaves me with the feeling of "dude I could have taken you out 10 times over the last 30 seconds!"

Happend to me yesterday, I was following a car with my buzzard. I had no goal, I was just following him at high speeds at about rooftop level. When he'd stop, I'd stop. At one point he wrecked off the side of a bridge and I hovered in place expecting him to drive out from under it. Instead he shoots me.

 

So I respawned, got back in the chopper, and spawn killed him for 5 minutes.

If someone is extremely annoying on the mic, I usually hunt that person and kill them ONCE. Most of the time they get obsessed with killing me and it just turns into an all-out war.

2. Damages/destroys my vehicle when I'm in a store (I've taken to hiding me ride now, but still)
3. Sends me a really stupid message (this one's the rarest for me.)
4. Won't shut up over voice chat (Applies to my friends also, but I've taken to muting people instead)
5. Thinks it's funny to camp outside of my apartment/garage (or glitching to kill me in my garage.)
6. Follows me in a vehicle for an extended period of time (I will admit player watching is fun and do it myself on occasion, so I usually let this go, unless #1 happens.)

Other than that, I won't kill anyone unless it's in self defense or a friend's defense.

I've been working on my sniping skills and I admit just watching players is so entertaining. I usually won't snipe people unless they are already involved in a battle or if they are camping outside a store/LSC/safehouse. I also try to help thin the cops out if another player is being hassled by the man (assuming they aren't involved in a firefight with another player).

I must say that reading through the responses so far has been both funny and alarming! I notice a fair few people share the same reasons which is interesting. It would be entertaining to see how those with similar reasons would behave when in a lobby together? Furthemore, how that lobby would change if someone with a rather unique reason for killing, such as 'people minding their own business' (which is a great reason I think), joined.

I usually help people who are being bullied and/or spawn-killed by assholes.

Be careful with that. Sometimes the people being spawn f*cked are infact the 'assholes' who started it! Which invariably so is often the case.

Its funny! I still pick up strangers by that same method you described. However now, I intentially get out and kil them as soon as they get in or, wait until they have lowered their guard a bit more then spawn kill them. Got to be a badsport to actually deserve the badsport timer increase!

I had a similar incident happen to me. I airstriked 7 people in tanks at the beach, who were posing for photos and had killed me once earlier for no reason. I went off the radar, sneaked up to them, threw the flare. Ran the f*ck away as they all started screaming over the mic about the airstrike. Needless to say, the strike did nothing (even though it landed directly over their tanks) they all came after me. However, I took them to a place where their numbers meant sh*t. Underground! I decimated them all as when they came driving in I destroyed the first one and the rest couldnt get through. 2 of them destroyed each other in the clusterf*ck. 7 against 1 and they still lost! Even resorting to going into party chat to 'co-ordinate' an attack on me. Which never happened as after a while some left.

 

After a while of tactically hiding, I emerged from the underground cave of charred tanks, hunted the 3 remaining players, and spawn killed the f*ck out of them until they left.

I kill people for fun usually.

When I get into free roam, I look around, check who is the nearest player(s), I get in my ride and I kill them. Sometime I just kill them then drive far away, not allowing them to kill me back, just to piss them off.

 

I often track and kill the players who speak on mic, because it's always fun to hear their reaction.
