Crunch McThornbody Posted April 24, 2014 Share Posted April 24, 2014 (edited) I found a way for NPCs to give you free tours of Los Santos. 1) Get an ambulance (turn off the siren!) or a police riot van from the tank spawn point 2) Park it in the middle of the road so it blocks traffic 3) Climb up on top, put passive mode on if you're in freeroam 4) Wait for an NPC to climb in and drive it 5) Enjoy the free tour with colourful commentary from your *ahem* friendly driver The heavy police riot van is the best one for this in freeroam because it's funny watching other players try to ram it off the road as they can't shoot you when you're in passive. You can stand on the bonnet if you're daring because the NPC does have a tendancy to bang into things occasionally which will knock you off more easily when you're standing there. The other day I somehow managed to get into the passenger seat of an NPC vehicle while they were stopped at a red light. We didn't get very far as one of my crew members slammed into me and my new pal at full speed, killing him instantly. It's a meme which is 'supposed' to be misspelt like that. On topic, sometimes you can jump on a bus or certain commercial trucks and aim the gun at the driver through the roof and they will start driving like crazy going through red lights and all. I have not tried this as I only just started reading it but I think the open top tour bus might work best. You can climb in the rear seating area, move around and even take cover against the front and back walls. You can do the same kind of thing with a Mule also. Just climb on top and kick the cargo doors open and you can stand in back and sweep the road behind you with a minigun while it rolls through town. I had a lot of fun with surfing the police riot van yesterday, one time someone in a Buzzard blew it up, another time someone drove up and tried to bomb it but it kept on going so they tried again but the second explosion also didn't stop the van, it did however knock me off and the drivers car exploded But the best was when a crew member rammed the van off the road, got in and started driving it instead of the NPC. Eventually there were 4 of us in the van being driven around like crazy whilst we all shot the crap out of the police and anyone who turned up, that was a heck of a bill at Ammu-Nation doing the restock! If you smoke cigarettes whilst the vehicle is moving it leaves a nice smoke trail, if somewhat short.
