I really think the traffic lights are starting to become a problem.

Since the last update they're red more often than before.

It takes ages getting somewhere.

 

 

i know what you mean. one night i was taking a taxi ride and hit a red light. i sat there for atleast 10mins (without being killed suprisingly). the other lights would change and traffic was moving except the light i was at. i even told the cabbie to "hurry up" (X button), but traffic had the cab blocked in so he wouldn't go anywhere. it never did change while i was there and i finally got tired of waiting, so i got out and started shooting randomly around the intersection making the NPC's freak out and run away.

I follow traffic laws for the most part because I don't want to scratch my nice rides! I hate idiot players who think I'm stopped at the Traffic light to drag race, and can't even figure out there's something called a turning lane!

I know the cops are already nuts but wouldn't it be funny if the cops started chasing you for speeding or running the red lights?

 

I can't remember but didn't they used to do that in another GTA game?

I only follow the traffic lights and speed limit if I have a car for Simeon that I don't want the NPC's to smash up. If I'm in my car, or a car I jacked, it's foot-to-the-floor high speed mayhem.

I've noticed the NPC's going on reds and not going on greens at some points. Don't know if it's changed or not but it definitely isn't quite right.

 

If you witness such behaviour, dial 911 immediately. Do not attempt to take matters into your own hands.

 

They've always been BS, in fact there are 4 way junctions where all the lights are red at once, is that a thing in america?

At four way stops, the first vehicle to stop at the intersection has the right of way. In the case of a tie, the person to the right has the right of way.

 

But if all 4 arrive at the same time then how does the person on the right go first since there is always someone is always to the right so how do you choose which one goes first?

 

What if the guy is to his left instead of his right?

I will cruise around some times just obeying the traffic laws. Its a pity everyone else cant in the game including NPC's. Everyones and I mean everyone drives on the wrong side of the road. Anyway happy ANZAC day all you other Aussies and Kiwi's.

Yea, I noticed this earlier when I was robbing an Armoured Truck at the lights. But a car was right behind the truck so I waited for the truck to pull away before detonating the sticky I had thrown onto the rear doors, to prevent a chain explosion. Waited....& waited....turns out the lights were glitched & would just switch orange for a split second, before changing back to red. Odd indeed...

My taxi cab once got stuck at a 4-way intersection where all the lights were red at once, and they never turned green. There was a huge pile up of cars, untils crashes started to happen and fights occured.

 

Traffic lights, always run em over and never follow traffic laws in GTA!

The lights have always been annoying. Cars randomly run red lights, they try overtake you while you're waiting and as you stated, they always seem to be red.

 

If the lights worked a bit better I'd be more inclined to follow the road rules every now and then.

I RP a lot when im playing online by myself. Mostly as a contracted hitman who goes out and kills poor innocent npcs from rooftops or in bars and truck stops around LS
I always follow the road rules and drive neatly and its actually really fun when Im not with friends causing chaos

Driver 2 police would chase you if you ran red lights.
