I really think the traffic lights are starting to become a problem.

Since the last update they're red more often than before.

It takes ages getting somewhere.

Sadly it was always like that, trust me, I know.

It's almost like the lights spawn when you get closer, and when they do, the default value for them is 'red', so you always get red light on approach.

Even if you are following the lights, by the time you reach the intersection it's red again so you gotta wait. It was worst in GTA IV as drivers would try to overtake you despite you being in the front. I just cruise on the highway, I can't be bothered with the city and its many lights and stops. I prefer cruising on a BMX. You can use those red lights to cross the street safely (most of the time) and cut down alleys (which is realistic for a bike, not as much for a car).

Meh, It was just a simple suggestion. I find riding bikes on the sidewalks and down to the parks alot more fun than attempting to obey the traffic laws in the game. It seems I didn't realize that goodie-two-shoes play this game.

Meh, It was just a simple suggestion. I find riding bikes on the sidewalks and down to the parks alot more fun than attempting to obey the traffic laws in the game. It seems I didn't realize that goodie-two-shoes play this game.

 

Riding your bike on the sidewalk is inconsiderate to the NPCs. Share the road.

This was a hot patch to piss us off and make us buy tanks and faster cars.... Ie it was done to get us to spend real money on cash cards.

I've noticed the NPC's going on reds and not going on greens at some points. Don't know if it's changed or not but it definitely isn't quite right.

They've always been BS, in fact there are 4 way junctions where all the lights are red at once, is that a thing in america?

 

If you want to drive legally it's best to avoid lights and go around country roads with just stop signs.

 

Also red lights are even worse when you are driving a semi-truck because NPCs will constantly come up the side of your trailer and wedge themselves in a stupid position where there is no way out. They also honk and cuss you at you if you are not moving the exact millisecond the lights turn green.

 

I would go into the stupidity of AI spawning endlessly making it impossible to move across certain junctions, and their traffic behaviour, but that belongs in the Rant thread.

99.9% of the time I get killed, it's because I'm sitting at a damn red light!

 

There should be an option to call Lester and have him turn the lights green.

If you witness such behaviour, dial 911 immediately. Do not attempt to take matters into your own hands.

At four way stops, the first vehicle to stop at the intersection has the right of way. In the case of a tie, the person to the right has the right of way.
