I think we should still have to unlock weapons and level up, but money shouldn't exist

You clearly didn't think this through lol.

Or the money could go much further so that everything is cheaper. Anyway

without money we could have weapons and ammo available for free from ammunation, but you would need to have the required level in order to unlock the weapon.

I'm always surprised when people say they constantly need ammo. Must be a free roam thing. My ammo is constantly maxed out as I fill it whenever starting any mission/dm.

Try not spraying every weapon, it might help you save money on ammo.

The purpose of GTA Online should be having fun, either alone or in group, and just focus on an entertaining mission/free roam system. If Rockstar developed nice missions and heists rather than caring about selling Bullsh*t Cards, repairing money glitches and making everyone money hungry, GTA Online would be a super exciting game.

My gaming experience is not ruined because a player has a garage full of Adders, 9999 billions in cash and a level 9999. My gaming experience is ruined by R* allowing tanks to grief people, taking years in correcting wallbreak/garage break/invisibility glitches and such things.

Yeah, good luck getting Take-Two to not pull the plug on Online if you were in charge...

Gimme a super exciting game, but don't you dare make a profit. You're not allowed. It's not fair to me.

Why do people single out R* when they are doing what every other developer is doing (and even better than them) as if it was evil to try to profit from a service that is free to 80% of you anyways?

"You bleed better than you shoot."

Bonus points if anyone knows the game from which that taunt originates. :p

I always had full ammo when I was stinking rich and have maintained that since. Most I ever spend is about $10k if I've been in free-roam, which isn't a big deal as I can make that up within 5 minutes.

Highly generalizing and incorrect. I fit in neither of those two groups and I know a ton of other people who also don't

Then you must be from a rare 1%

I GET MONEY by HAVING FUN. Sorry if the entertainment options that GTA:O provides to you aren't fun. I started a second character just for fun. I play the Gerald missions with other low level pistol holders and have a great time. No reason to grind the same mission...I do a variety of things every single time I log on and always come out at least $100K ahead of what I started with. Having fun the entire time because I don't focus my attention on getting money, I just let it come to me while I'm doing whatever I'm doing.

Again you must be from a rare 1%. What level are you mate? You don't care about having things or you just have enough because you already have a lot due to playing countless hours, grinding, glitching, hacking...?

(I've got no bad intentions neither I'm trying to offend you with my words)

I'm not sure what you mean by this. The mission/free roam system is totally fun. Play co-op missions with others...race....play a team deathmatch....run around in freeroam to sell a car and attack an aromored truck, spend a bit on a rampage against police....play another co-op mission....etc. "Nice Missions"? What the f*ck do you want? What is YOUR IDEA of a nice mission? I love American Exports, Extradited, Base Invaders, Stocks and Scares, Landing Gear....I could go on but it's pointless because instead of thinking the co-op missions are a fun time with others, YOU are worried that you're not making enough money fast enough instead of just playing what you like to play and having fun with it.

Maybe it's fun to you, but for me, the missions are very limited and boring. I liked Stocks and Scares and the one about stealing the Stinger GT from the Playboy mansion, but all the other missions are good for me just the first 2 times I play them.

There are no heists or missions that could be at the same level as single player missions.

All the things that "ruined" your experience can be combated by simply joining a mission/race/dm or switching lobbies. Again, you are causing your own problems.

That was a reference to everyone that complains about people who grinds money or glitch money. Money glitches in no way harm other's experience. Hacks such as wallbreaking, invading garages, god mode and so on do harm the experience.

Also people who just roam in a tank or a buzzard ruin the experience of other people who are just doing their thing.

What if I don't want to change session everytime an asshole comes and blow my car up? Do I have to simply because "it is legal"?

Think about that.

Also, if you want, PM me with answers or questions and I'll be happy to answer you. I like a good talk or discussion, I don't want others to see this as a public argument, we just giving opinions :)

I'm always surprised when people say they constantly need ammo. Must be a free roam thing. My ammo is constantly maxed out as I fill it whenever starting any mission/dm. I always have max ammo on every gun, I just mentioned that if everything was only level locked and there wasn't any money, instead of having unlimited ammo, we would have to top our ammo up for free from ammunation or where ever you can, such as mission lobbies.

I love unlocking things and working for them, grinding is a different story.. but I'd do that any day than walking around with billions without any care in the world. It's very boring and at one point I'll question myself if there's anything I'll accomplish by owning the game anymore.

Almost like beating a game to 100% that has no replay value and you just sit there staring at it wondering what to do next.

I can and will keep grinding rooftop rumble, and stealing modded Tornados from Ballas and Vagos right in the middle of thier hood and barrio for as much money as possible. Right up until we get the High Life update. I might be able to afford the High Life stuff, and also some business update vehicles along with having a second garage. Also a Vestra, which I hadn't bought yet.

Why do people love any deep emmersive multiplayer experience? BF4 COD? There's always something play for/unlock/achieve.

OP was just spoiled. /thread

Unlocks. Something to work toward.

Gives the game a purpose.

Without unlocks there would be no point in playing GTA O.

I'd rather have everything open and available...in freeroam.

This is my major problem with GTA Online. It has this popular FPS system of unlocking weapons through experience, that's all fine and dandy for a competitive FPS, but it doesn't really make sense for Grand Theft Auto when the game was marketed as being all about freedom.

I feel that weapons/upgrades for vehicles should have only had the price barrier for free roam, and that through ranks you'd unlock the ability to use weapons/upgrades you've bought in competitive modes.

That seems like the option that would have made everyone happy, I think.

I wouldn't say that exactly but it might as well be GTA IV with a couple add ons.

The purpose of the game is an open world sandbox with other people. Unlocks should hardly be your sole purpose.

I enjoyed COD for the gun game knifing and BF because it was a big map kinda shooter. I don't need the game to throw virtual achievements at me to keep me playing.

i prefer unlocking stuff because it gives you an achievement to work for. if everything was open for me to have access to, then things would get boring very quick. IMO, the biggest reason for these "i've done everything, so now what to do?" threads. i never could see as to why people just bum rush up the ranks, then once they get there they seem to end up sitting around with nothing to really do.

Besides working towards unlocks, what else is there to do? Clearly no point has been proven.

Ballistic Jello

Luap are you on PS3? You and I have very similar opinions on this game.

These missions would require the top weapons like RPG and Minigun to even succeed in them but would be far more lucrative than they are now. You could not invite lower levels into them...must be like 100+ to participate...but when you succeed in them the money rolls in hard. Spending money becomes no longer an issue.
