SKATEBOARD as DLC?

A few days back me and a crew of people decided to take bmx bikes and went to various skateparks in the city just messing around doing tricks and i noticed how much detail R* has put especially into the vespucci beach park creating a bowl, halfpipe, and rails and i thought it would be a cool addition to the game if they added this to game not only to use to skate with but as a weapon as well. I don't if you played Gta san andreas, but in the beta version there was supposedly gonna be a skateboard in that game but it got stripped and with there being rumors of a sports dlc in the near future, this i feel, would be one of the best additions to the game. Just think if its added it could be used in various ways like in deathmatch, free roam, as a weapon, and etc. I could also see there being a mini game being added at the park where 1-2 players have to run into floating icons and steal others icons in an amount of time to get rp and money with either a bmx bike or skateboard kinda similar to the shooting range where you shoot the other players target and your own in a certain amount of time.

They had a skateboard in Bully, I'm sure they could find a way to integrate it into GTA: Online.

I thought this too, OP. Just use the same damn dynamics and buttons as the BMX. But I hope they can integrate simple tricks into it somehow. Ollie, kick flip, etc.

Im also surprised that R* didnt add the skateboard as a collectors edition item to get more people to buy it.

Rockstar should buy the 'skate' series from ea seeing as it's not doing very well any more and there isn't a fourth game coming out. Would be awesome if it was added.

i would be happy with just those two tricks. i wouldnt expect a bunch of tricks if it got added in the game.. but a ollie would obviously be mandatory.

 

i would put it in our weapon wheel.. then we could pull it out whenever we want. either to ride or bust over someones head

who would skate in single player maybe franklin that's it Yea right franklins too swole to skateboard hed probally break it trying to do an ollie. I could definitely see trevor skateboarding or being a former skateboarder as he reminds me of johny knoxville and was real would fit perfectly into the jack*ss crew.

So many games have screwed up skateboarding physics that I feel like it would just be like another mini game I have no interest in playing. Even the guys that made 'Skate' screwed it up with the 2nd and 3rd games imo.

 

I never played 'Bully' though so R* might have some skills I don't know about.

I like the idea, but it would require modifying the game physics, creating elaborate new animations, etc. etc.

 

As long as it's taking them to do heists, I don't see skateboarding happening any time in the near future.
