#ThanksCargobob Relevance to High Life DLC release date

If R* don't announce it today then it wont be next week.

They always announce big DLCs the Thursday before it releases on the Tuesday

Rockstar are clusterf*ck when it comes to releasing news though. That being said, the fact that they posted a contest yesterday suggests that news on the High Life update won't be until next week meaning that the update won't be released until May.

In the time it took the OP to write that post, he could've done any of these far more rewarding activities.

1. Watch "The Last Lecture" by Randy Pausch. See it online at Oprah.com. This is a deeply moving segment that may be the best ten minutes you've ever invested in front of a computer.
2. Spend a little while watching the sunset with your mate. Nothing extra is necessary. Just sit and take in the natural beauty of the sky and appreciate being able to share it with the one you love.
3. Sit quietly by yourself. It doesn't really matter where or when. Just let your feelings bubble up and then experience the thoughts flowing out of your mind. Clearing your head and heart will give you extra energy to get through the rest of the day.
4. Write a thank you note to your mate. When was the last time you thanked your partner for just being who he or she is and being with you? Doing this in writing will give your partner something to cherish for the rest of his or her life.
5. Take out your oldest family photo album and look through it. The experience will fill you with fond memories and perhaps make you a bit wistful for days gone by.
6. Play with a child. Most kids have short attention spans; ten minutes of quality time from a loving adult can make their day. It will also help you stay in touch with the child inside of you.
7. Visualize or imagine a positive outcome for any issue. Medical doctors recommend visualization to patients with chronic and potentially fatal illnesses. If it can help them, it can do the same for you.
8. Go to bed with the one you love ten minutes earlier than usual. Then spend that time just holding each other. Let the feeling of warmth from your mate move through you.
9. Hang out by some water. Studies show that hospital patients who can see a natural body of water from their beds get better at a 30 percent faster rate. If you're not near the coast or a lake, try taking a bath. Doing so is also healing.
10. Get your body moving. Shake, twist, and jump around. Let yourself feel the joy of moving to your favorite music, or just the sounds in your head. Run, walk, and bike to your hearts content. You will live longer and love it more.

Typical GTA forum prediction.

X = Y + 7

Where X = Release date and Y = Current date.

if X comes by and no DLC is released, then Z = X + 7, where Z = New release date. Repeat until DLC is released, then complain about it.

Oh yes mate, but he has a lot on his hands in my opinion lol. Just hope it goes well and doesn't tarnish the 12 years he had at us as a fantastic player. July 1st he officially starts the task in hand. Who do you support?

Miss Malevolent

So at the moment Rockstar are holding a #ThanksCargobob Photo contest in which cargobob and snapmatc fanatics will be sharing their best shots. There is a more dedicated thread by a fellow crew member which was posted earlier today so for all things based solely on the cargobob contest topic please go to this link http://gtaforums.com/topic/703780-the-thankscargobob-snapmatic-photo-contest/.

Now if you go to the newswire http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/news/article/52237/The-ThanksCargobob-Snapmatic-Photo-Contest and look at this contest event notice when it ends. The contest ends on the 28th of April next week. The question is why?

I believe strongly that this is because The High Life DLC will be released 28/29 next week when this contest finishes and ill explain why.

Over the past two weeks all everyone wants to know or is talking about is this new update and when it will arrive, now I'm almost 100% sure R* had wanted to release it last week on the 22/23 but because of the glitch that enabled everyone to buy everything they decided to delay it a week, the glitch itself was groundbreaking and from R* point of view this was far to damaging hence the almost sudden hot-fix.

The whole point of bringing out TheHighLife update and Heists near each other is so online players have to earn there in game currency to purchase all the new lavish apartments/mansions and other items that come with the long awaited High Life update DLC. The latest glitch where you could get everything free completely undermined that hence why the update hasn't been released.

So to why i think this contest has a part to play in revealing the release date of the new update. Normally any snapmatic contest event is normally pre-scheduled with a update i.e Valentines Massacre and The Business update in this case this is just a sole event and has kind of come out of nowhere in what i feel is just to keep online players happy until next week. Also notice the date this event finishes, it ends on a Tuesday next week. This is the same date alot of people, friends, youtubers, forum members believe it will come out and to be honest i fully expect it to be released next week.

However I'm aware at the moment that R* are not happy with the glitches and other things that have come into the game since the 1.12 update release. Its because of this i feel we are not seeing a release date and if the update dosnt for some reason reach us by next week expect more delays because R* aren't stupid and with heists also coming out they want to get it absolutely right, you cant blame them really!

I want to know your thoughts on this guys because no doubt you have opinions and some will disagree with me that's fine but why? does this contest have anything to do with High Life update being released? are new groundbreaking glitches effecting release dates, are you happy with R* and the work there doing on updated content? and do you believe The High Life update will be released next week shortly before heists being released sometime in May? let me know, some of these questions have a direct impact on the release dates so its always good to read others views :) Thanks Guys

I don't know about the release date thing. But I thought that the contest was more about telegraphing the possibility of owning a Carbob in the next update...i.e. making it available for purchase through the Warstock website with the new updates.

Listen, any and all speculation posts are pointless. They invite nothing but mockery, pettiness and expose people as bozos as we can see.

The updates will be released when R* see fit. And not a day sooner. Plain and simple. Any guesswork on an actual date, well it's just silly...

So stop being silly.

According to the article, the "tipster" says the earliest would be 29th of April till the latest of May 6th.

Sounds about right.

What the hell is that garbage. He gives absolutely no indication of anything accept what he thinks. The OP here is actually better thought out (though still as useless). Quick OP change your name to tipster and get an article.

I agree the 1.13 update was nerfed last week due to other problems they needed to work on although I'm not convinced they will have all known issues fixed by next week..

Don't forget about that music score update, which was supposed to be released sometime this month according to the newswire. So if that's with High Life, next Tuesday does make sense.

However, it's totally possible that the update has been delayed cuz of reasons.

I could see Tuesday as a possibility, though May 6 sounds more probable.

This Cargobob contest closes close to Tuesday, but no way R* posts the winners then, right? They'll need a few days. So they could post the winners a few days before the DLC comes out on May 6, say "oh yeah, DLC on Tuesday and we're adding the Cargobob to the list of crap you suckers can buy."

They've gotta get heists out in early June to make the "spring" deadline, and I could see 1.13 and 1.14 being a month apart.

Don't you think the name kind of gives it away? The score would be suited to be released with the heist update later in spring as potential lame back ground mission music. Never believe R* when it comes to promises about release dates. I do not think the score music track will have anything to do with the highlife update.

has any "Actual Information" ever been posted in one of these topics? If people cared what lame idea's you had in your head about release dates we'd all be asking you. But yet I have never seen someone ask, it's always just uninitiated speculation.

TL;DR Shut up we don't care about your opinion.

All im asking for is opinions not your right arm and no if i wanted to elaborate i would of done so. If no-one has anything decent to say or take there time to leave a respecful comment then please go embark on a new topic that is all

That's the problem with using the Thesaurus to sound articulate, it can't help you with context.

Now I'm off to initiate a new topic......

Also: "would have" = "would've" ≠ "would of"

I can't bring myself to take a person with such poor grammar seriously.

It's a handy life-skill to know the difference between your and you're.

I'll be waiting for the update rather than speculating.

As for them dealing with glitches I am very happy with their work on this and I am

happy all the content so far has been free.

I understand your post completely, but if Rockstar had developed a better anti-cheat system and created a game which had very few/ difficult glitches there wouldn't be any need for further delays, etc.

By the same token, other individuals who've contributed to cheating, glitching, hacking etc haven't done the genuine players, Rockstars or themselves any favours.

Finally, no update content now or in the future could ever be charged for... Before you can even load up GTA you must install the latest update otherwise (XBOX) you'd be signed out therefore unable to play online at all. This would essentially mean you have to pay for GTA Online, which would cause an outrage and many, many more dissatisfied customers.

EDIT:- Is it really necessary on any level to quote and "fix" or comment on people's lack of intellect when they write their posts? The English Language is one of the hardest languages to learn (eg, 1st, 2nd and 3rd person, they're, their, there etc etc) and if people really expect that there's going to be a "perfect" level of English, on an Internet Forum they're mad.

E•MO•TION

Ever since last week when it wasn't released or a release date.. i've always said 29th, why?

1. It's a Tuesday, R* love they're Tuesday's

2. Both Beach Bum and the Business Update (the other Big Updates) were released on a tuesday.

3. It's the anniversary of GTA IV's release

4. May is the mid point of spring, when heist's will more than likely be released, would make sense to release 2-3 weeks before, giving players enough time to earn enough and get used to the new pads/cars/gun

I've always thought that a Late April/Early May announcement (and/or release) for The High Life Update is very possible, but based on the possibility of a Fourth of July Event of some sort. They have held events for Independence Day before, most notably a Quadruple XP Weekend for Red Dead Redemption a few years back.

In other words, assuming R* has something planned for July, and that they want to spread things out nicely, we could expect something like this:

Late Apri/Early May: The High Life Update (announcement and/or release)

Late May/Early June: Heists (announcement and/or release)

July: Fourth of July Event

/speculation :p

The score is the name of the music update on the newswire, and heists are about taking scores. Correct me if i am wrong
