sway = disappears with maxed out shooting skill.

lung capacity = awesome. Just dive in the sea and flee! :D

I got max on lung capacity. It can be useful if you are in one of those moments when you are locked in the box of a Mule Truck and your friend decides to drive into the water.

speak for yourself....the sea is the best place to escape the fuzz.

This. Not only is it a good place to escape cops, you can escape other players underwater too.

Done it several times. The rage that ensues is always funny.

There is no sway when you scope, what the hell are you talking about?

there is, but not nearly enough to make you miss a target.

....and none of that sh*t matters once you get the heavy sniper

Yup, sway matters a bit on the normal sniper, especially if your target is far away/moving, due to having to get a headshot in order to one-shot-kill, but with the Heavy, if you land a shot pretty much anywhere, they're dead.

It is useful in triathlon races (self-made), since you can swim faster when underwater.

R* fixed it some months back, it's not useless, I havr it maxed and it's great when underwater.

that would imply that sniping in GTA requires skill

but this isn't battlefield lol

ha..battlefield sniping doesn't require skill anymore.

maybe so. i don't f*ck with recon cuz it's f*ckin boring (support = best class)

BUT, still more skill than GTA sniping

It has one advantage at the moment and only one as far as I have seen but I have got a few thoughts regarding captures under water....

This advantage is getting away from people or the police.

My char's both are maxed and I can go a good distance deep underwater. Hopefully r* will make use of the sea, an underground city or something but then...

no doubt this will cause side effects like the rest of their dlc or updates have. Seems like they like to shoot themselves in the foot after putting a gold shoe on.

Wouldn't it be funny as f*ck if one day they released a few really high paying UNDERWATER MISSIONS where only those with 100% Lung Capacity would be able to pass.

You'd find all the free roamers on the beach swimming. lol. Streets empty cause everyone snorkeling out that bitch.

The cops follow me everywhere I go when I'm underwater and even with it maxed I eventually have to surface. It's not useful unless you have overhead cover or no more than 2 stars.

Wrong. I lose 5 stars in the ocean all the time.. Max lung capacity and a few snacks are all you need. You can eat snacks through the quick menu to replenish your health after you begin to drown. I recommend waiting until you're nearly dead before getting your nosh on.

Put away that Recon class and get your crossbow out.

if you havent had to use your lung capacity, youre not taking enough risks.

It may take forever, but a maxed out Lung Skill can make evading bounties quite fun. Especially when you go off radar, and pop'em a few times.

So while playing GTA Online earlier today I was perked up on a rooftop sniping and it got me thinking. Does lung capacity affect the sway on your sniper while scoped in? Everyone says lung capacity is a pointless stat and at one point it actually was completely useless until they fixed it. But im wondering whether there's actually a good use for it now.

Ive only known the shooting stat change how much sway you get with the snipers from personal experiences but im not 100% sure whether lung capacity also affects the sway. Even if it doesn't change a thing I reckon it would make a good addition to the game what with there being nothing to do out at sea on this game at the minute.

Views on this?

what are you talking about? Are you an idiot? What does lung capacity have to do with shooting a sniper??!?!? This isn't a sniper video game.. it's grand theft auto, you can't "hold your breath" to steady your aim.

Lung capacity is for holding yor breath under water. When would this be useful?? Well.... I was in the water and somebody was trying to kill me.... I went under water to swim away (out of his line of sight) but had to come up for air (because my lung stat sucks) and he shot and killed me. If I had better lung capacity I wouldn't have died.

So if you're near some water... you can use it to escape.

Now, I'm not trying to make a case for lung capacity. How often are you going to use water to escape, right? But come on, sniper rifle?!? LMFAO

Lmao someones easily offended... Get some fresh air pal seriously

Mine is maxed out and it really helps when dodging police through the harbor areas, ducking deep underwater and underboats and stuff.

Ive never noticed any difference with shooting tho sorry, like everyone else said, it doesnt effect it

At %100 lung capacity my guy can swim underwater for about 60 seconds. Very useful for escape, evasion, and ambushes.
