OBJECTS THAT COULD EASILY BE MELEE WEAPONS

There are objects in the game that I think would be great melee weapons.

These are solid objects that can be moved around and can't be destroyed.

While there are some fun objects to find in interiors, these are found outdoors:

FIRE AXE:

axe.jpg

This fire axe is located along Zancudo River behind a trailer and can be knocked loose from the tree stump.

When it falls to the ground, it can be kicked around.

CLEAVER:

hatchet.jpg
There are 2 cleavers that be found at Ursula's house at Mount Gordo.

Both are located on the porch next to the dartboard.

You can knock them loose to the ground where you can kick them around.

FISHING POLE:

fishingpole.jpg
At various locations such as Cassidy Creek, pedestrians will be fishing in the river.

You can knock the fishing poles out of their hands and kick them around on the ground.

TENNIS RACKET:

tennisrackets.jpg

When you character switch to Michael, he will sometimes be ending a game of tennis with Amanda.

Both characters will drop their tennis rackets on the court. Again, you can kick them around on the ground.

In Michael's garage, there are also 2 moveable tennis rackets on the wall.

POOL CLEANER:

poolthingy.jpg
In Michael's garage is a wall of tools (most can't be moved). There's another fire axe and a pool cleaner tool.

Again, you can knock it to the ground and kick it around.

PICK AXE:

pickaxe.jpg

There's a pick axe at the small house that includes a fenced in chicken pen and barn. You can knock it over and kick it around.

RAKE, BROOM, MOP, HOE:

Find these at the shopping center in Chumash. At this location, these tools are moveable as well. (at many other locations, they can't be moved)

RUBBER MALLET, SMALL WRENCH, PLIERS:

mallet.jpg
Available in the interior of LS Customs. Confirmed: Objects are moveable.

SCREW DRIVER, LARGE WRENCH:

largewrench.jpg

Available in the interior of LS Customs. Confirmed: Objects are moveable. Another location of the large wrench is in the sewers of LS.

SHOVEL:

SHOVEL.jpg
Along the backside of a house in the desert and at Franklin's house in the ghetto. Moveable.

SHOVEL 2:

SHOVEL2.jpg

Located in the sewers of LS along with other tools mentioned above. Also moveable.

Have you found other solid objects like these outdoors?

If yes, please post pics and share where the objects are located.

If there's other objects in the game that you think would be great melee additions, feel free to post those too.

:)

I've seen a shovel as well, these weapons would be great to have. Sometimes Carlos is seen with a chainsaw, Michael's house garage has a lot of objects too, including the chainsaw.

You mean a Fire Axe, right?

I've seen a shovel and a sort of saw in Michael's Garage on the walls. Why not check it out?, also i don't see why R* made those machetes and knives unobtainable, sure one knife is enough but a machete could be a fun weapon to use.

It would be hilarious,if you could open the car door while driving at high speeds & hit someone with the door XD

or if you're parked, when someone walks by...Bam! you open the door in their face XD

Fire axe all the way. All you need then is a suit and a raincoat from R*.

Well, sorta. You can enter in such a way as to leave the door open and then drive backwards and hit a ped.

The door will rip off so you only get 1 shot. But I've also done this while driving; struck peds in the forward direction and the door didn't break off.

Keep trying, it's tricky but it can happen.

I've also managed to toss peds in the air and have them land INSIDE my car. This guy had his legs over the seat for most of the drive until he decided to cuddle. :)

I know how to do that,I meant was: simply wait for your next "victim" to walk past the Parked Vehicle's Door...fling it open &...Pow Right In The Kisser! you smack em in the face with a car door & play the troll song XD

You can do that. I've done it a zillion times. It doesn't always have the force needed to knock them to the ground but it does work sometimes. :D

What I would like is for them to give us the firefighter outfit we wear from one of the two options for the Bureau Raid, and the fire axe would be the perfect melee weapon to go with it.

I'm an aspiring plumber so I'll always vote for length of steel pipe and a pipe wrench as melee weapons.

Chorizombie: Have you been able to move those tools or find them elsewhere? I was only able to knock down the fire axe and pool cleaner thingy. (edited OP for pic)

The fire axe was a weapon at one point, apparently, along with a shovel, wrench, and (oddly) a megaphone. The HUD icons can be found in the files for all of these things, I believe.

I believe all of this was mentioned in a topic before, also you can see it here:

I haven't watched the video so I'm not sure what it says; the title, however, lists them as DLC, but I don't remember if they were in the files from the start or not, heh.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. :) I was surprised they didn't include these individual objects as melee weapons. I thought there'd be more than we had in SA.

The wrench and shovel was there from the beginning, because I found them in Horizon. The other ones might have been there from the beginning too, or they could have been added later, not sure because I never found them in the game files.

But is there a moveable shovel and wrench somewhere in the game world now?

Never found one, it's possible it will be added in a future DLC since I found them right in the middle of the other melee weapon editors.

I'd want them to rework the melee system first before giving us new melee weapons.

Right now they all behave the same way really, and there's no difference other than a couple different animations. They're all one-hit kill; no fun using them like in IV.

Yea, you do kind of have a point, like the nightstick and crowbar have the same animation while the baseball bat and golf club have the same animation, knife and broken bottle share it, etc. I guess the shovel and wrench would probably share the animation with the baseball bat and golf club, and if they give us an axe, I can see that sharing the animation with the nightstick and crowbar. They need to re-work it a little otherwise what's the point in giving us them?

I'm okay with single hits that kill but variety in how they affect peds would be nice, yes. :)

Well in the story mission By The Book you can choose to torture the guy with a wrench. That's about it.

I've found some additional MOVEABLE objects and added them to the original post in this thread. (see above)

I also found these in LS Customs but can't jump on them or shoot them because it's an interior.

Can someone figure out if these are moveable too?

Using a truck to block the door from closing, I went to the LSC that Franklin can purchase and stood outside using a Sniper. I could shoot and move all those tools.

Awesome, thanks! Found a 3 different styled movable shovels too so will add it to OP. :)

EDIT: Wish we could find stuff like this, too:
