Idea for R* - Paintings Sponsors & Race Bonus

I know the Schwartzer is based on a Mercedes but these make me think of the Vauxhall/Opel Insignia in BTCC

Awesome idea except including the stock market in. They've already seen how manipulative and farm crazy the community is. People will pick the coolest design and trade wins to boost the value of the sponser.

Looks great and simple but we should exclusively add brands from the game.

 

No problem to take inspiration from real cars but if you replace adidas by suburban and mobil1 by Ron oil, it sounds more GTA.

Having Sponsor logos on cars is a nice enough idea as an option but having it offer any advantage is a terrible idea. I for one hate sponsors and advertising altogether (even fictional) and regard any of those logos as garish and profoundly ugly, and I would never under any circumstances want any such things in my cars. If there were an advantage of any kind offered you'd be punishing the people who don't like this idea for not using it, and that's stupid. To each their own and if you want that sh*t all over your car then fine have at it, but don't try to force that garbage down other people's throats for no good reason.

This is first, to have opportunity to transform racecars in real racecars and make profit of it.

The Feltzer wasn't a racecar in GTA IV. Now, it looks like.

Bati RR, Sanchez, Asea and Paradise already give this alternative. Why not other cars?

If my idea were add, doesn't mean i'll change the color of all my cars but maybe part of it until it gives more money.

 

R* asking for ideas to import ingame. This is one idea. Not more, not less.

^Like I said I have no problem with other people being able to customize their cars how they want, but the suggestion that it should offer a race bonus is idiotic and narcissistic. If you want to come up with an idea, how about leaving out the part where you get an advantage and other people who dislike the idea are left at a disadvantage? Money is the driving force in this game and I shouldn't have to lose out on making money just because I have a different aesthetic preference than you, and even suggesting the notion demonstrates an enormous lack of forethought (or a lack of caring of what other people thought/felt, or both).

 

I admit to being blunt but I hate advertising with a fiery passion and I can't even think about it as much as I am right now without it and the broken and backwards capitalistic system it represents coming to the forefront of my mind. I'm not playing video games to dwell on serious issues I'm doing it to have fun, and the idea of me being punished in a video game for my not wanting to use ads on my car is ludicrous. I also don't react well to self-centered suggestions which would harm other peoples' experience just because you want something, such suggestions are stupid and that's exactly what I'll say about it.

 

Sure I appreciate the joking parody of the ads in GTA, but once you've heard the same jokes over and over they stop being as funny and I don't listen to commercials anymore on the in-game radio. And also if there were ever a "no livery" option on vehicles with livery I'd use it every time. People are entitled to like and dislike what they want, and as fine as I am with other people getting what they want, I'm not okay with them getting it at my expense. Too many people have ideas that are great for them but leave other people hanging, and that's not fair to other people. I may be being blunt about it but I stand by my position.

You're right, there is no reason to give advantage to someone and not to another.

But it's the fact in the game with crew and friends.

 

You win more money and RP if you play with crew and friends.

This is Rockstar's choice and no argues about it.

So, what if I dislike talk and share with other players, or just want to roleplay a rebel who wants to live in a far place without any friends?

I can kill other players but can't win the same if I play a mission with strangers than with friends?

 

That's why I propose this bonus part. Like an other challenge in the challenge and unfair. Like the bet. Like the tank. Like the bulletproof jacket. Like the time each one spent in the game.

 

And the bonus can also become a malus if you lose the race. Like betting at the beginning of each race.

^^You don't get more money with friends, you get more RP. No one complains because no one cares about RP, if you got more money then you better believe people would bitch about it (myself included, that would be a stupid idea). Money matters too much to make it work that way, RP doesn't matter nearly as much though so they can get away with it.

 

If you want a bonus RP boost for racing with sponsors, I have absolutely no problem with that whatsoever. Like I said though money just matters too much to have it be unfairly distributed, and there's already betting in place so what you seem to be suggesting with the sponsors is already a built in feature through betting. And if there were going to be something that would maybe add risk to the race for more reward it shouldn't be something that requires me to make my car look like a clown.

I'm agree than my idea isn't perfect.

 

That's not a reason to be rude with Automobile Sports and those fans.

There is a lot of different ways to love cars and this is not a Clown way.

 

Classic, Japanese, lowrider, and so much more but don't need to have disrespect against this categorie who make history of cars.

Without races cars, their is maybe no reasons to make better cars and push them to the limits.

 

This is not an idea for everyone. Maybe, but this is for those who love Automobile Sports.

 

But i take your argue about RP and cash. You're right when you say than win RP is more equal for each players in fact than everybody just ask for money.

Look dude it's nothing personal about the looks of the car it's just that ads really are an abomination as far as I'm concerned, insidious and almost impossible to avoid (though I can assure you I go to great lengths). If your idea was just to have the paint jobs added as options then I never would have posted in this thread, it was only your suggestion of the race bonus for using those options that made me post at all because that would incentivize people to drive around with ads on their cars, which would be a disgusting and disturbing thing to do on many levels.

 

I'm not offended by the ads in this game because if anything R* agrees with me and parodies all of the real ads in the ones they make, but I don't like having overly colorful cars to begin with and all those bright colors thrown together are clownish to me, so for that reason alone I'd never want any of those on my cars (and I'd be pissed off if I had to lose out on money just because I don't want that stuff on my cars). Add that to my disdain for ads in general and I admit I came off harshly but it's not you so much as all this talk of advertisements that got me agitated (I swear to god if I have to hear one more old guy describing how smoothly his catheter slides into his urethra I am going to smash my TV into little bits).

You know, if R* had not proposed Feltzer with all these body changes, I would surely never proposed this idea.

However, many players are demanding more tuning options and end up with more and more types of racing cars (Feltzer, Elegy RH8, Rapid GT, Banshee, Jester, Coquette, Comet, and soon Massacro).

As well as have race cars, as they really look like if desired.

My idea is not perfect and I myself do not like to see only this type of cars but let's be a bit positive and hope that people have a minimum of taste.

You do not like advertising, ok, but it is not just about advertising.
Simply motorsport.
DTM, street race, and many others.
