Best Sniping Shot

I sniped a lazer pilot who was trying to strafe me earlier today, first shot. I definitely pulled a Success Baby face.

 

Have had some long range ones but I think my favourite is still a tail rotor on an Annihilator from halfway across the city, because it killed 4 guys in the same crew

I love collaterals, I get a fuzzy feeling inside of me.

 

My most typical snipe spot is a far hangar at the airport, I go there when I'm panicked and just did something I shouldn't have survived and a whole angry mob of players is chasing me. Plus if you actually manage to hold your ground against attackers there, they all spawn out front of the air port and this gives you time to think about your options.

 

I typically snowball hatred while I nest around the city moving with off the radar until things get personal and I am on a rooftop fighting buzzards with a mini gun.

 

 

I once point blanked a players side passenger in a heli with a sniper just as they surprised ascended the edge of one of my rooftops, all I saw was a long furled eyebrow in my scope. I've done some pretty cool stuff with a sniper but this event required some of my best reflexes, it took place within a second and I had to aim my scope fast right after a back roll to avoid a rotor slice, I didn't know what weapon I was pulling out either.

Luckiest shot I've ever made was back in my first days with the heavy sniper.

A folk was harassing le wife of mine by trying to run her over. I came along and we had a skirmish by Palomino Highlands. Guess he got bored and drove away after we traded a few kills. He stops by the road side and... Heavy Sniper to the gas tank. Char not rendered but the car was. Not sure if he raged or anything but he didn't even try to come back for the revenge.

some guy camped on the tower crank at the construction site near Rockford Plaza, and shot my car when I drive by

then I finish stuff I need to do, return to place where he shot me, get down, and shot him back

I shot a single bullet into the dome of some asshole in a jet. I half assed the aim & miraculously got the kill.

 

Wish I had an El Gato. I've had amazing kills, lots of rapes, reactions, & rage quits.

I was shot coming out of the clothes store on Route 68 by a guy and his mate on a Bati, I respawned and climbed on the roof of the shop, they'd started to ride away into the sunset lovingly in each other's embrace when a single bullet killed the driver, a good 300 yards, the bike comes to a halt, passenger still in place and a second bullet in the back of the head just for him. Back in the good old days of decent draw distances... Walk away feeling like a boss.

 

Had many more since with double kills etc and lucky shots as cars come flying round corners in the distance but that one just felt so good...

Last night on that Lester mission where you have to get the guys on the top of the multistory carpark, I was the sniper and was trying carefully (I'm not very good at sniping) to line up this one guy who was not in cover... finally I had him in my sights and I fired... just as 2 other guys stood up out of cover directly behind him in a perfect line, and all 3 of them dropped.

 

Any chance I had of passing it off as a well timed and intentional shot was soon lost when I spluttered into my mic and burst out laughing...

mine was when a guy with a bounty was climbing in to his car, which had two cars in between where i was stood and itself so i couldnt see him once he was in the car, but i aimed through the two cars windows, and at where i thought his drivers seat was, through his back window, and boom, what i can only imagine, as i couldnt see, headshot. 9000K. thanks. was gutted nobody saw it though.

 

either that or a long distance helicopter pilot shot who had a bounty as well, he had just gone out of range so he wasnt rendered, but the shot still made, sparking 'glitcher/modder' accusations from the guy.

Best shot was from on the ground near to the heliport.. Was on foot and saw a chopper fly overhead.. few seconds later I hear a ping as a shot misses me.. Get into cover, pull up the map and see a dot.. have a scan of the towers (not maze bank but one of the slightly lower ones) and I can just make out the blades of the chopper... problem being the other player's position was out of visual range for sniping and it was raining heavily as well, so can't see jackshlt..... then he tries another shot and I can see the trail of the shot coming from where he was... I give it a second and fire off a shot. one time kill... I then get screaming over the mic "how the f* did you do that!?!?!"..

 

left him guessing tbh..

 

 

That took first place from my headshot against a pilot in a buzzard, shooting from a moving train..

Best one have to be from the top of Maze Bank Tower killing a dude climbing the ladder at the hospital with a helipad on the roof. That was 5% skills, 95% luck.

The DM when you are either side of the canyon river (Chiliad). I picked a dude off who was running inbetween some trees from the other side of the valley, twas very good indeed.

XpertThief has done some of the sickest kills. In one of them he snipped a guy who was on the top of Maze Bank Tower

View distance is practically 150ft, there's no such thing as impressive sniping in this game because of the crappy rendering.

I shot 2 guys with one shot in the same car on 2 separate occasions. Both times as I finished RR and spawned at Martin's house, with the players down at Eclipse Towers. The second time there were 3 guys in the car, I shot the driver through the windscreen and killed the passenger behind him (1st shot). The 2nd shot killed the remaining passenger. That was epic...being called a hacker and what not...LOL

I was on top of the augury building in a sniper battle with someone, but they were invisible on a rooftop directly in front of eclipse. I marked them and use my pause menu map to line up completely and took a shot and hit him. I still remember his name too

I was having a shootout with a guy at the airport. He was standing on top of that multi level garage, but couldn't get a clear shot at me. I guess he went a little to far and stepped off the edge, but since he had the parachute he was skydiving towards me. It's not a high building so it all lasted 2 seconds, but mid fall I aim with the sniper and headshot him. Luckiest shot I ever pulled.

My best, most satisfying sniper kills are when I use Merryweather to flush out a target in cover, then get the kill while the target is distracted, then get a refund for the mercs.

 

I've got a handful of excellent, skill-based (and luck-based, ridiculous) sniper kills, but nothing makes me feel better than flushing out another player and getting the drop on him.

$9k bounty flying overhead at full-speed in a Maverick, I'd just re-spawned. Pulled out my heavy sniper, aimed up, pulled the trigger, and he no longer had a head. All in about 5 seconds, I basically quick-scoped him. Unfortunately I have to put that one down to luck. Another time a friend was escaping in his crappy little Rapid, so I head-shotted him and his car went into the river.

 

And I once one-shotted the tail-rotor of a Buzzard (must've already been damaged) killing 2 passengers and leaving the pilot stranded on the side of Mt. Chilliad. He died shortly after when he 'lost his balance'.

I've hit a few long distance shots on players being chased by police helicopters. Just use the search light as an indicator of their location and unload.

I was hiding on top of the Maze bank tower with a 9K bounty. One guy coming to get me had just climbed into his chopper on top of the hospital southeast from downtown and got him. Then he yelled at me for cheating and rage quit.

i always enjoy sniping people that i can't see.

 

i've had a few rooftop sniper battles where myself and my adversary are too far apart to actually see one another, but know where the other is based on the map. then it's really a case of guessing where they are and hoping they'll reveal their whereabouts by firing some shots.

 

my favourite snipe, however, was of a helicopter pilot. i was up high, in position to take down a bounty, waiting for them to pop out of cover, when i saw a helicopter almost at the edge of my vision (with the scope). having paused and checked the map, i determined that it was one of three players in that area and thought i'd kill some time with a couple of potshots in that direction. unexpectedly, i took out the pilot with my first shot, but nothing appeared on the kill feed. it turned out not to to be another player, but a merryweather pick-up. i looked through the sights again and could just about make out an explosion (and due to the weird directional-microphone-like abilities of the sniper sights, heard it faintly too). then the kill feed and subsequent bad sport message, let me know that the exploding chopper had taken out three players and a personal vehicle.

 

needless to say, the players in question did not pause to marvel at my sniping wizardry, but instead spent the next hour or so employing everything at their disposal to kill me. which they did, quite a lot, but only after a lot of enjoyable failed attempts.

A lot of times, I shot people out of their cars when they were very far away driving fast and rapidly maneuvering around.

 

It was luck.

 

I think my best one might have been one time when a Lazer flew between buildings in downtown at a very high speed and I was very far away so I decided to aim and shoot. I had a split second window and I only fired one bullet. I managed to kill him.

 

Complete utter dumb luck.

I was on top of the tall black building in the center of town. The one with 3 cylindrical shaped tiers to it. It overlooks the clothing store, ls customs' numerous safe houses and popular places that people normally go. But I digress. I had sniped a guy who was messing with me earlier in the day out of his car while he was driving down the road (great feeling by the way) he spawned in the road and I continued to spawn snipe him from this building. This went on for approximately 6 more kills until he found where I was at. He proceeded to drive to the helipad to get a heli. All the while with me shooting his car to let him know I'm watching him. He got into a helicopter and began to take off. Within a few shots I had sniped him out of the chopper. He tried three more times and each one he got a bit closer to me before I would snipe him (he was pissed) the fourth time I let him come very close to me. All the while trying to shoot me with the guns of the buzzard. He got closer and closer than I finally blew the chopper up with an rpg. He rage quit.

Saw in the map a few dots way across the highway around the tall buildings, i zoom in the sniper scope and i find the back of a helicopter on top of maze bank and start shooting and a few rounds after it blow up and the guys there went on a chase to find me and i was able to snipe them while they were coming all at once in one car first the driver then they crashed and it was a easy pick.

 

 

that is the one i liked the most. but i had a lot of them in the crane near to eclipse towers that were pretty sick

Actually yeah new favourite - I sniped someone as they bailed out a jet but before they started falling, that moment where they're hanging there about to stabilise. Watched his body fall all the way to ground, as I hope he had to
