Why does nobody play golf, tennis, darts, or shooting range?

I try to host these activities frequently but very rarely does someone join! They aren't so bad. They provide nice variety IMO. Thoughts on how to improve these neglected activities?

Have them go on in the free roam session.

Allow people to be freely killed while participating in these activities.

I play Golf and Shooting range. Golf not a challenge getting golf players, challenge getting golf players that know how to play it and don't quit. I'd really like more holes and courses but doubt they add any. Would also be very nice if players could freely move like in Single Player Golf. Also if you could move while the other players took their shot.

Masks, clothes, etc. for completed platinum awards. Also improved RP rewards. For example if you win 25 shooting range games in covered targets, you should get 3000-4000 RP. or maybe even 7500 RP. Now it's only 800RP. Although that would be easily exploited / boosted.

Everyone wants to destroy each other and their vehicles. None of these activities satisfy the destructive nature of the player base. I've played golf in SP but only once in MP. It was quite enjoyable.

Well in my experience with all these game modes

Golf, arm wrestling, and darts are always to me easier to get people to join but requires a bit of waiting. Rarely do people play tennis and ive only done the shooting range like three times. I believe with golf R* should make it so theres a golf store in the course where you can buy apparel like gloves, shoes, hats, bags, colored balls, and better clubs with a certain amount of wins and same with tennis. With the shooting range mini game there should be weapon attachment unlocks like laser pointer, scopes, grenade attachment for rifles and special guns for each class with an x amount of wins. And lastly if they do what they are doing with capture and increase the RP and money by 2-3x more people would play for sure.

I hate to say it but golf is really tedious. Especially with large groups of players. i played a complete game with my friends once and in between goes there was nothing worth watching. Sure, in real life there is a bit more interaction so it's actually quite enjoyable, but watch a computer animated person make the exact same motion and take a long while doing it sucks in my opinion.

They always quit before finishing. I only won one golf and tennis but whenever I tried to win, they kept quitting. I lost many times but I had fun. Sadly, they took this too seriously. It's like racing all over again. I was kicked for nearing victory. I'm not even a good racer but least I got the Chrome color. Now if only I can get the Metal colors...

I enjoy most of these activities, but haven't played any in ages. I have to admit I've forgot they were there in a way. Just been busy with other stuff.

 

Golf was my favourite (strangely as I hate the game irl!) But I kind of stopped as I was getting sick of getting kicked in the joining screen or people just quitting mid game. Then got sidetracked with other stuff.

 

Perhaps there could be a special sport weekend thing, double rp/cash for doing these activities like what they did for the capture the other week. Maybe that may get people to do them?

I play with friends but let's be honest the rp and cash ( If they give cash?) Is too low for anyone to play them unless they want to have some fun.

I like golf & tennis, but the only times I've played them online is when I asked friends to help boost the Número Uno trophy.

 

maybe R* will give them RR payouts, so people will do these activities all night.

Nobody joins those activities because they don't involve killing. If the shooting range used NPCs instead of targets, I think more ppl would do it. And I would play golf if the winner got to beat the loser to death with a golf club after the round was over. Could do the same with tennis and tennis rackets. It's all about the killing. Sad, I know.

 

$ and RP would also help. The only incentive to play is unlocking tattoos and a lot of ppl just don't care. They'd rather kill

I love golf, it's way better than tennis. I'm undefeated going 14-0 or something like that. I play it at the end of the night to wind down.

 

Darts arn't bad either I guess.

I was hoping to get in on some activities later tonight.
Havent played the Golf, mainly cause i dont play in real life but I do need one last block to reach 100% strength so, Golf might be what I need.

The shooting range challenge is fun with another person.

I actually played shooting range earlier. I was after that número uno achievement and couldn't think what I hadn't played. Did shooting range, won and BAM! achievement unlocked.

 

I really should start playing mini games more. It's just something that doesn't cross my mind when I'm playing though.
