This one really does it for me lately

Love their version of Fields of Athenry. Nothing like a jolly Irish classic to get people singing. Top craic

Nothing political about this song whatsoever lol

The problem with a lot f metal/rock post 80's is that get's separated into so many sub genres. I guess they get lumped into the metal because of that, but they're more on the glam side. So i guess you could call them a glam metal band. That's what i'd class them as. It was a pretty big scene in the 80's, but then thank the Lord for GNR and their album, Appetite for Destruction lol

Know my sh*t? You said you gave a "GREAT" example of Glam Metal and posted Bon Jovi. Bon Jovi isn't metal.

You youtube one "death metal" song, that isn't even a death metal song, and label it all crap.

Mötley Crüe are not metal either. You posted a poppy rock song and called it heavy metal.

I give up.

This is literally AND figuratively death metal. Not just in style of music but lyrical content lol Most of their songs are about serial killers and mass muderes. Jolly chaps with an odd sense of humour

Bon Jovi is probably the most well known GLAM metal band in the world, with Livin' on a Prayer being the most well known GLAM metal song ever released.

Maybe you have a different opinion of heavy metal but, in my (and many other people's) opinion, Motley Crue are a heavy metal band and one of the best too. No band is locked to any particular genre, Motley Crue were a big part of the glam metal scene in the 80s. Bon Jovi have released a good few hard rock songs too. The examples I gave were of particular songs. Feel free to disagree. I used the death metal song that was posted earlier, I have heard many similar death metal songs, enough to know that I don't like that particular genre. It's crap in my opinion.

The thing with Bon Jovi is that after the Slippery When Wet album, they left their glam sound and went more rock. But i agree with them being one of the biggest glam metal bands. Just because they're not that now have been that for years

I still can't see how Motley Crue could ever be considered a heavy metal band. They're closer to bands Bon Jovi, and so would class them as glam metal.

Skid Row were always considered a glam metal band, yet they were more rock than Bon Jovi and Motley Crue. Or at least the album Slave to the Grind was

I agree with you to some extent. Songs like 'Kickstart My Heart' and 'Dr. Feelgood' are definitely more glam metal-esque that Iron Maiden (for example) but to me they still fall into the heavy metal category. When I think of glam metal I think of songs that are more "mainstream," songs like 'Livin' on a Prayer,' 'You Give Love a Bad Name' and a good few Def Leppard songs from Hysteria. They make you want to sing along rather than pump you up. Motley Crue songs pump me up big time, 'Shout at the Devil' is a good example. I can understand why some would see it as glam metal, but I see it as heavy metal.

You're mistaking rock for glam metal. Living on a prayer is a rock song. Hysteria is a rock album. Nothing wrong with said song or album but it's rock, not glam metal, nor heavy metal.

This could be the best piece of music you hear all day, perfect for gunfights!

Its performed by the band Health who also have a song on Radio Mirror Park, funnily enough the high pitched sounds in this song sound very much like the sounds the Fort Zancudo UFO make.

DONT FORGET:

STUPID BBCODE, IT REFUSES TO SHOW THE VIDEO OF THE LAST ONE!!! (WE ARE WATER IS GREAT WHEN YOURE HIGH!!)

how is motley crue death metal?!?

What planet are you from?!?

hard metal, death metal its all the same to me...

LOL @ SabreVC, go hate some where else and damage your ears with that death metal emo screamer crap.

Wow such ignorance.

Both of you comment about death metal and yet neither of you have ever listened to a death metal band.

*shakes head at stupidity*

Yes I have, from what i've seen, it's people who seem to glorify Satan and promote violence while destroying their voice box.

You're either a troll, a kid or plain stupid.

Glorifying satan? Promoting violence? You sound like a Christian group from the 80s.

It's the equivalent of saying all hip hop sucks cause it's about bitches and guns (it isn't).

Don't get me wrong i love mötley but shout at the devil?
