It pisses me off because whenever a shooting happens - they think "What game allows shootings of citizens?" OH I KNOW! GTA! And it always gets f*cking dragged in as the reason why the shooter shot up people

 

FIRST OFF, if the shooter shot people - it is because they have mental problems which already started before they played GTA or any violent game for that matter - secondly, GTA is for adults - ADULTS WHO CAN HANDLE IT - if he can't handle it, he shouldn't even play it but we're not going to say "You can only play Minecraft" BUT THEN THE NEWS WOULD SAY BUT MINECRAFT HAS SWORDS

 

You know what, this pisses me off too much that I literally want to do a study of my own and shove it up their arses.

 

When I was 7 and my dad went down to the local shop to get me GTA 1, 2, London and 3 - he taught me the differences between a game and real life and let me play and he himself was a gamer.

 

From a young age, I was told that what you see in video games is not real and cannot be done in real life - the only reason why GTA is big is because people want to do sh*t that they would be caught for in real life - it gives the player freedom.

 

SO STOP DRAGGING GTA INTO EVERY f*ckING SHOOTING

GTA, DOOM, Call Of Duty, etc... Video games are an easy scapegoat, companies like PETA bash on things as innocent as Mario and Pokemon for some of the stupidest reasons, just because they know it gets a reaction.

This is old news. I think (hopefully) by this point, violent video games almost having been out three decades, that the media has stopped blaming them as the main cause of violence among minors... beyond a small, narrow-minded conglomerate of WASPy sh*ts in the red states and liberal yuppie pricks, but those groups will never change.

All the kids today are f*cking high and on cell phones and sh*t... that's what the media has started to and should continue to attack.

We always move onto another medium. Workers thought the new stargazers were vapid slugs wasting their time. Stargazers thought the new book readers were vapid slugs wasting their time. Book readers thought the television watchers were vapid slugs wasting their time. TV fanatics think gamers are vapid slugs wasting their time. Hopefully virtual reality catches on so we can bitch out some whippersnappers.

I think I hate it more that everyone here gets upset that GTA got blamed for the shooting and not that several people died in a shooting.
