Sticky Situation

This isn't the good one either. I'm talking about going off radar putting a sticky on a bounty in a car and press button to blow (lol) and the only thing that happens is I change the damn radio station! But!!! A few minutes later I do same thing, and it works. I'm peturbed by this as I do not know if they will work or not. The same thing will happen on foot as well. The simple thing would be to not use them, but they are a very powerful tool in my arsenal of destruction. Is this a known issue? Does this happen to others? Will my thread be locked?

 

I'm scared and confused...

Ok so if I understand correctly, your sticky bomb does not trigger when pressing the button. Instead it brings up the radio menu right? Are you holding the button? You have to press it. You can also simply exit the car and detonate it, avoiding the issue.

 

P.S. You thread title is a little confusing.

What are you trying to say?

As i remember,if you hold the detonate sticky button it won't detonate the sticky.

What I mean is that the stickies will detonate about 60% of the time. Title was to get more views, and more feedback regarding the situation. The stickies don't work all the time!?

There is a thread on this already. Seems to happen since the last patch. I think we've noticed they occasionally despawn after being thrown.

 

They disappear sometimes.

Happened to me once at Fort Zancudo... Saw someone take a jet so I threw a sticky I saw it land on the wing and then it didn't blow up. I was also in a vehicle

It's too realistic, although its not intentional. I've had misfires with guns before and it sucks. Don't particular care for it in make believe either.

Don't want to sound annoying but I think you (but this applies for everone) should NEVER post a different title for more views because not only can it be confusing, but it can also annoy some member and cause them to give non serious replys.

 

As for the issue, people have stated that it seems to indeed happen a few times. Since this wasn't mentioned at the patchnotes, I assume it is a bug. Try submitting a ticket at R* support regarding the "bug".

It's okay OP, usually I use a tissue and make sure to throw it away before any one smells it on you. If you're too sticky I would advise taking a shower to get rid of the smell too. But don't forget to close the browser and clear history, I learned that the hard way. Good luck

Luckily I've never had this sticky bomb issue that you speak of. I'd be mad if I stuck a cop and the bomb turned out to be a dud.

Yeah, this is not uncommon. Hiding myself away behind an alley dumpster, chortling like a mad scientist, waiting for the blip to get into the car I just booby trapped and clicking the "trigger" to hear... nothing? Wait, radio station? R U kidding me? All that plotting? Planning? Skipping lunch AND dinner to make this happen? Not to mention the $500 bucks I'm out for a faulty sticky bum.

Personally, I think stickies should have to be placed on things, not thrown. They didn't throw them in Saving Private Ryan, they had to creep up to the tanks and plant 'em right on the tank!

But that's another story, just like this picture:

They might not be sticking then falling through the map. There was an issue mentioned on what did 1.12 changed where people were claiming stickes wouldn't stick to gas pumps but would fall through the map.

Guess all I can do is pray that the sticky clips through the map when somebody tries to blow me to bits!

Exact same thing happened to me the other day. I even sent a text saying "BOOM" After the failed detonation I texted again saying "Oops, wrong #"

I liked the title very witty... Had this happen to me a few times....didn't know was a known issue... Hopefully will be fixed
