to the OP: what in that post indicates that new content gets delayed due to people using a glitch/exploit? you know, just because you dumb-dumbs keep repeating something doesn't make it any more true.

 

one more time, bare with me: Companies have different departments working on different parts of their product. it's not like no one does any coding at Rockstar on fridays just because all the staff has to clean the offices before the weekend. they have other people to do the cleaning. and guess what? same goes for patching and fixing glitches/exploits.

Resource allocation. People working in the department that fixes glitches (if there is one) could probably also be working in the department that develops new content. I doubt they'd be firing a large portion of their staff if glitches were fixed.

So much hypocrisy here. Some people here complain how cash cards are evil, and should not be in the game, and yet glitching is fine with them. That is f*cking ridiculous.

 

Others complain about how cash cards are a priority to Rockstar. Well yeah, they are making more money. Money that will be invested in their future products, and make GTA 6 or RDR 2 even better. There are only a few developers out there that never disappoint me with their games, and Rockstar is one of them. Call me a fan boy, say I'm kissing their ass.... I don't give a sh*t, they have earned my respect. And judging by the existence of this forum, they have earned yours too.

 

Another thing that bothers me is this childish and selfish way of looking at things. Complaining how the game is broken, and how nothing is being done about it, and forgetting about the free stuff, and tons of glitches being fixed. Yes, the freezing is an issue, but I seriously doubt Rockstar is ignoring it. If Rockstars only concern is making fast cash, why the f*ck would they not fix a problem that prevents them from making more money??

 

About glitching and exploits.... The main theme of the GTA series is becoming somebody from being a nobody. A theme that extends to multiplayer as well. It's the way the game is meant to be played, and it's the way it works best. By glitching you go against that, and forfeit your right to complain about Anything in the game.

 

One final thought, or rather a question, for all of you that are complaining about the game. This isn't an MMO, you are not paying a subscription for it. You only paid for the game once, and have been playing it for what 200, 300 hours? I'd say that's well worth the 60-100$ you paid for the game. And there is still free content coming out. So here's the question: What the f*ck gives you the right to complain? You don't like the game, don't buy it, don't play it.

I'm here though since I do enjoy the game, you are right about that much.

But:

The support ALWAYS gives automated responses, they NEVER take anything you write to them seriously.

Lost any ingame item you PAID for? Provide evidence (they have so bad control over their code I guess, so they cant check any logs), you are f*cked if you dont record.

Freeze lags, issue since day one.

They released a game pretty much half a year before it was ready (talking about online, story mode was awesome).

Every new patch that fixes an issue introduces new ones. You are bound to stumble onto glitches without even trying.

The bad sport lobby, the logics are so flawed and they are working so slowly to fix this. 3 people afk in your playlist? YOU are the one who gets bad sport for leaving! The afk'ers are still good sports!

 

I understand the people who refuse to give more money to Rockstar. Who wants to support them for doing a half-assed job?

If I were happy with how they updated the game and how they treated me as a customer, I'd think of buying cash cards in a different light.

I've bought content in other games, but as long as they don't fix their sh*t. I'm not giving them any more of my money.

Only difference is this game is a little more complex compared to your average WOW type game. In terms of tech, not content. There's bound to be problems.

Not liking the game or how it's managed doesn't give you the right to cheat. You have the right to play something else if you don't like it.

If they were to charge for each dlc, then people would only buy it if it was worthwhile. That means the devs at R* would have to take time and effort into releasing content that would sell well.

The way they have it set up now. They release content that urges players to buy cash cards to purchase the items released in the dlc. The actual dlc doesn't have to really be good though, because everyone gets it free. It's likely, that 90% of all the dlc released up until this point so far was actually created several months ago. Cash cards is just extra money in their pocket. If they had gone the other route, and charged for every dlc ... How many people would actually pay over $10 for the beach bum, business update, etc...

Noone would pay 10$ for those packs, that's right... But, I'm pretty sure most people would buy it if it was in the price range of 5 bucks. Actually, I'm damn sure that around 70% of the Online players would buy the content, bECoz SupERcAr #SWAG.

 

No really, seeing as other companies just give you one new car or texture update for 5 bucks, many players would think it was a reasonable price for 2 weps, new clothes and 4 new vehicles (taking the Business Update as example). Hell, it today's world it actually is a reasonable price no matter what, a few years ago everyone would've shaken their heads and walked off.

 

Still, I think the profit they would make is around the same amount they're making with cash cards now, because honestly, I don't believe there are that many people buying them.

Buying 5 DLC's for 5$ each->1 Sharkcard for 10$... They could make more profit of it.

Exactly. They've delivered much more than most other games ever do. The game is not perfect, but to use its flaws to justify glitching is stupid. People should just admit that they want to cheat and stop making it into some kind of statement or boycott. They're not fooling anyone, especially since they all like the game so much that they even signed up to a forum dedicated to it.

ive posted this before. the casual gamers will spend more of their parents money on cash cards then real gamers will pay for a half assed dlc with a couple of re-skinned cars/guns. it doesnt make the game better it only makes rockstar more money. they have made over a billion dollars off this game. please stop talking like they are struggling to make any profit.

 

they made so many bad decisions with this game that for the first time im thinking i'll skip the next gta game. just for a moment, flashback to the golden age of gta3. remember how much joy you got from stopping the car, getting out and beating the sh*t out of a hooker for no reason...now that game was fun to play. this game you kill a hooker and she drops less than $20. phuck your cash card ploy. taking all the fun out of the game.

Bullsh*t. If you're freeezing that much it must be problem with your machine...maybe Brian B was right. I had my game online for 8 hours straight last night and did not freeze one time. I got kicked back to single player 3 times from a job though....such problems.

Honestly, I haven't played for a couple months. Still frequent the forums to keep up to speed with the madness and updates.

So expect delays from poorly coded game because a handful of people are abusing the system? I gotta call BS on R*. Who cares if even 5% of the playerbase uses the glitch as it doesn't effect others game play. They have lobbies dedicated to ass hats, put the glitchers in with them, give them a nice dunce hat, and concentrate on fixing the game, which should be a priority, not preserving assets of pretend money. Who cares if you have 10 chrome adders. You can only buy 10 of them as of right now.

How about the stock market? For all we know we could have had an awesome, fully functioning stock market by now if there were no glitches. Saying glitching doesn't affect other people's game play is very short sighted in many other ways as well.

Before you guys call this 'game breaking', instant money is not game breaking. Game breaking it where the game is literally unplayable (freezes, mission does not work, fell through world every time, etc.) The game still functions, but you're doing stuff for fun, not money.

And if instant money is game breaking, cash cards are game breaking. It's just that instead of disconnecting you ethernet cable in LSC, you're removing $20 from your wallet. Same thing, still get instant cash. R* just puts a price on it for profit, and says glitching is different, but it's not.

people like you are the reason the online free updates don't get funded. im okay with people who want to play legit but people who get free money through glitching is wrong it basically saying you don't like R* game and you don't ant them to make another one.

 

At this point, i couldn't give a flying f*ck if they wouldn't make another GTA game. If the next GTA is like this one, i won't buy it anyway. Lame ass single player story, broken online which is all based on Cash cards.

I've always wondered how people found glitches?!

Well those who work in finding glitches have ways, methods for that. They simply know loopholes, typical things, if those don't work they don't find anything.

 

speaking of glitches.

 

it could be a fluke but... i deposited my money before the console froze on me once, and when i started back up the money i deposited was still deposited, but i also had the cash i deposited before. duping the deposit.

 

i dont know how i did it, nor do i plan on trying to replicate the results.

 

just saying. its a thing.

 

I have had this happen a couple of times also. It confused me because I thought I had deposited it. If I can just get get this to happen reliably with a $1M in my pocket, then I would be onto something.
