Infinite Money Glitch takes Content Creator Offline

Before you guys call this 'game breaking', instant money is not game breaking. Game breaking it where the game is literally unplayable (freezes, mission does not work, fell through world every time, etc.) The game still functions, but you're doing stuff for fun, not money.

And if instant money is game breaking, cash cards are game breaking. It's just that instead of disconnecting you ethernet cable in LSC, you're removing $20 from your wallet. Same thing, still get instant cash. R* just puts a price on it for profit, and says glitching is different, but it's not.

people like you are the reason the online free updates don't get funded. im okay with people who want to play legit but people who get free money through glitching is wrong it basically saying you don't like R* game and you don't ant them to make another one.

At this point, i couldn't give a flying f*ck if they wouldn't make another GTA game. If the next GTA is like this one, i won't buy it anyway. Lame ass single player story, broken online which is all based on Cash cards.

This isn't GTA anymore to me.

This is GTA times a 1000....go put your old IV disk in to see how sh*tty it used to be....and people complaining about Cash Cards, how is R* supposed to pay employees who create the FREE content like Heists that you keep complaining isn't here? This GTA is the best one thus far....stop whining.

by charging people for content

or are you trying to imply that they didn't make money of gta 4 or it's DLC'S?

it's always funny how you morons keep repeating the same argument over and over while it's premise is clearly flawed.

there's dozens of ways making money, cash cards is just the best for the dev's/publishers

why bother taking a risk by investing time and money into quality content when you can spoon feed your audience tiny updates while they keep buying randomly generated 1's and 0's which don't cost R* or take 2 a damn thing

it's pure profit at virtually no risk.

now you might prefer this situation over buying actually new content as a DLC, but any1 with half a brain can see it's not the gamers who benefit most out of this deal.

so please for the love of common sense and logic stop repeating this same BULLsh*t argument over and over

there's plenty of ways for them to finance development or server maintenance (which importance is greatly overstated by most, this game doesn't even have dedicated servers, all they have is crappy cloud servers for our save games and matchmaking)

f2p sounds nice, but in actuality you really do get what you pay for.

Listen, if you don't like how the game is meant to be played, and have to cheat to enjoy it, maybe this game is not for you. The game is what it is, stop f*cking with the experience of other players so that you can make the game enjoyable for yourself. It's selfish.

That I don't agree with...if you don't like glitchers then leave the lobby if you know a glitcher is in it. Let them play their game their way...you play it yours.

I don't know when someone is a glitcher. And besides, the content creator is down because of glitchers no matter what lobby I'm in (not trying to downplay Rockstar's responsibility in this). Anyway, people are going to judge me for this but I don't care; I don't want others to have what they didn't earn. Call me jealous or elitist, I would disagree. I want the things you have in GTA to reflect how much you have been playing the game, as Rockstar intended it to be. I like to be able to show off expensive things and things that are supposed to be difficult to unlock. I like having something to show for playing lots of hours. This is how the game was meant to be. I can understand if you don't like that. If you dislike having to work for stuff in the game and just want to have everything instantly, that's a valid opinion and I can respect that. It's not really in the spirit of previous GTA's to have such a focus on the RPG element. But it's what this game is supposed to be. That's why I said that if you don't like that, perhaps this game isn't for you. Besides, this is the online portion of the game. You can have everything there is in the game with one playthrough in single player. Things are more difficult to aqcuire online, just like how the multiplayer in almost every other game is more difficult than the single player.

This guy gets it.

If they were to charge for each dlc, then people would only buy it if it was worthwhile. That means the devs at R* would have to take time and effort into releasing content that would sell well.

The way they have it set up now. They release content that urges players to buy cash cards to purchase the items released in the dlc. The actual dlc doesn't have to really be good though, because everyone gets it free. It's likely, that 90% of all the dlc released up until this point so far was actually created several months ago. Cash cards is just extra money in their pocket. If they had gone the other route, and charged for every dlc ... How many people would actually pay over $10 for the beach bum, business update, etc...

Not playing the game is your voice. Glitching is your chance to cheat and make the game worse for people who do enjoy it. That's just being an asshole. And frankly, trying to make it into some grand statement is pathetic. We all know it's just about the easy money, RP and weird items.

Besides from all the initial dlcs that were announced from the start such as the beach bum pack, all the dlcs come with costly cars that were probably in the game to begin with. The Valentine's dlc cost over $1 million if you wanted everything, and that was all limited edition, pushing cash card sales since many weren't willing to grind for the $750k for the Roosevelt in 2 weeks. The business update cost over $2 million in total and it only released expensive clothes that should have been available to begin with, and 3 cars which were probably also planned to be in the original game, as well as reskinned weapons.

People say cash cards bring in more free dlc but all that is released are costly items that would cost $20 to buy with cash cards, that should have been on the game to begin with.

to the OP: what in that post indicates that new content gets delayed due to people using a glitch/exploit? you know, just because you dumb-dumbs keep repeating something doesn't make it any more true.

one more time, bare with me: Companies have different departments working on different parts of their product. it's not like no one does any coding at Rockstar on fridays just because all the staff has to clean the offices before the weekend. they have other people to do the cleaning. and guess what? same goes for patching and fixing glitches/exploits.

dear simple minded moralists, please just start using your brain before you spew your oh so righteous indignation in our faces. thank you.

Resource allocation. People working in the department that fixes glitches (if there is one) could probably also be working in the department that develops new content. I doubt they'd be firing a large portion of their staff if glitches were fixed.

See there in lies my problem. I have little something called a "life" in the real world. I have a wife and 3 kids and a job that sucks. When I get home I want to unwind and play GTA the way I want to play it. I also want to have all the nicest things in the game, but I don't want to play for hours on end to get them...if there is an easy way, or a glitch to get it best believe I will get it....if that hurts your feelings, I am sorry....here's a tissue. Great argument. Accusing me of not knowing anything, which one of the best known logical fallacies, doesn't make you look naive or foolish at all.

I understand that but that's pretty much the nature of the game, play the game to unlock better items. It's like this with almost any game. You play to progress. You play less, you progress less.

Let me ask you these two things: Would you be in favor of making everything available to everyone from the start, and would you still play if there are no glitches to get everything faster?

GTA Online is a f***ing disaster

GTA Online isn't a disaster, the players who play it are.

the game hard freezing every 5 minutes doesnt count as a disaster?

ive posted this before. the casual gamers will spend more of their parents money on cash cards then real gamers will pay for a half assed dlc with a couple of re-skinned cars/guns. it doesnt make the game better it only makes rockstar more money. they have made over a billion dollars off this game. please stop talking like they are struggling to make any profit.

they made so many bad decisions with this game that for the first time im thinking i'll skip the next gta game. just for a moment, flashback to the golden age of gta3. remember how much joy you got from stopping the car, getting out and beating the sh*t out of a hooker for no reason...now that game was fun to play. this game you kill a hooker and she drops less than $20. phuck your cash card ploy. taking all the fun out of the game.

You sure do a lot of name calling for expressing such a holier-than-thou-superiority-guy attitude. And bear with me: I think it's likely that the janitorial staff at Rockstar cleans more often than once a week.

People can call R* greedy all they want, but the point of them making games is to make money. They're trying to create on online ecosystem that can generate money. I'll never buy a cash card, but I will rely on others buying them so I can get free updates. That's how it works. It's not f*cking rocket science.
