Why would Rockstar make the cops so damn annoying?

I think cops should stay online, but with the exception of not pursuing you for killing/engaging other ONLINE players. Now if you shoot a pedestrian or rob a store/money truck they should still be able to come after you.

I believe that Rockstar shortcutted AI and they completely dropped the ball on spawning. The reason I expect is that they thought human competition would be the thing. The contact missions are the only non-competitive jobs and most of them are the same and dreadfully easy.

 

The cops are ridiculously hard and do impossible things, a lot of impossible things. It's because Rockstar can't make cops that will challenge us on equal footing. They have to be crack shots from vehicles at 100 meters, they must spawn beside us and they must travel at 1.5x supercar speed; otherwise Rockstar would have needed to give them tactics.

The cops are ridiculous. It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't send like five hundred of them every time. I gun down two and there's four more. I gun down those four then there's eight and a helicopter. Meanwhile some other player can come and start shooting me and there's nothing I can do cause I'm being swarmed by these pests. I kill them like flies but it just seems to make more of them. How many police will they just lead to the slaughter already?

The worst is when you're battling with another person and the cops at the same time, and the other prick decides to call the mercs in on you. So now you're battling the cops on one side, mercs on the other, and out of nowhere, the prick snipes you from two blocks away. That's that sh*t I don't like.

Agreed. Or as many others have stated, have an option for a police free lobby where you can just duke it out with everyone. Though I'll admit, the cops have saved me more than a few times from that spawn killing asshole, or taking a loss on my PvP K/D.
