Why the hell don't R* fix the badsport timer?

So I was in there last month for 2 weeks - I didn't play gta for 2 weeks and came back expecting to be out - yet it said I had 1 hour left so I just drove around in an empty lobby and the timer just start adding time and went up to a week again - I put in a ticket and they put in generic answers like "blowing up personal vehicles can add time blah blah" I kept writing to them I was in an empty session and hasn't played in a week - after a week of emailing them, they finally decided to let me out - now I avoid badsport altogether. But players still post all the time on R* forums about it adding time despite them not doing anything and all they get is "time can be added for committing badsport offence blah blah" line - worst customer service ever

R* don't like bad sports, that's why

 

In all seriousness though, you will get f*ck all support from the 'Dudley's' and 'Do Rights' at R*. You are a marked man unworthy of their precious f*ck up. Don't get me wrong I love the game, but there has been too many problems that R* have to address. I feel the bad sports (if you don't mind me asking what you actually did seeing as you want to reform as it were) are just fodder now in light of chronic glitching and modding. R* seem more willing to ban all indefinitely to quell floods and pressures from good sports (there is a silly margin there that's getting thinner) instead of actually moderating bad sports sessions and actually controlling problems.

 

As for customer service I work at the sh*ttiest end of the sh*ttiest customer service and I must say the R* aren't poor, they're plain incompetent and ineffective (seems one man for millions of issues. Brian B can't be far from a melt down). R* have great technical and artistic minds, but they're less than amateurs at dispute and conflict resolution.

agree - I was in there for blowing up some personal vehicles but this was before they increased the limit - problem is I have some friends in badsport and whose timers keep going up and all R* do is copy and paste generic stuff instead of reading what they write

Quite frankly none of us are innocent of such things, we just seem to do agreeable things as well. The ticker thing, as you've pointed at, is frigged. With things being more important than bad sport grumbles I doubt such fookie (Loved Newman and McQueen in the Towering Inferno) wiring is Duncan's worry just yet. On the flip side, If you are in a bad sport lobby now and are behaving (in isolation ) then with all the sh*t hitting the fan the bad sports will have a lot of company very soon (or an amnisty will be called). Early offenders will be out sooner and will become the 'Do Rights' on R* forums (far fetched but watch this space )

If u r in there for 2 weeks, it should be 2 weeks playing time in the game and not just 2 actual weeks being away from the game itself, otherwise what is your deterent from being a repeat offender. Badsport lobby is far too lenient, where's the punishment in choosing what u do while on it, access to your tank, helicopters, your apt, garage and personal cars should b denied. And while we are at it, this new aggravated metal state status should give that person an instant $20,000 bounty and an increased police presents in his vicinity. Jet and helicopter rockets should be able to lock on to them as a deterent from being that kill happy. Getting slammed by a few rockets has a subtle way of calming your ass down in a hurry. ok i'm done

2 weeks actual time is perfectly fair as the bad sport was always ment to beba holdingntank to seperate idiots into one session and away from good players. If you go offiline for 2 weeks the the effect is the same if not harsher.
