Have YOU ever deleted your second character?

AND LOST YOUR PEGASUS VEHICLES?

 

My alt's over lvl 100 now. Been slowly liquidating cars to get back to an empty garage, planning to delete and start again with a new alt.

The problem is under some of the older patches, people lost assets (namely Pegasus vehicles) on their main accounts, after deleting a second character. That wouldn't be such a big deal but the Buzzard and Rhino together are what, 3 million roughly? And I know if they were lost it may be impossible to get anything out of it from Rockstar. I would be spending 100% legit earned money at this point to rebuy them, which would be about 40% of my net worth. Needless to say, I would rather not.


Please post any of your experiences with DELETING a character, especially from patch 1.10 onwards.

I know people have deleted their second character... and third... and forth. I haven't personally, but I always "fear" the cloud... but if you are deleting it, what's the worst that could happen? Delete your main too?

Nothing will happen to your main. i deleted 2nd chars after 1.10, 1.11, 1.12 without any problems

Yes, I made a female second character and didn't like how the first one looked. Deleted several attempts. When the Valentine's Day DLC came I wanted to buy all the stuff for my second character so I spent an hour or 2 making it . She still has the blue hair from the DLC. I don't even really like the way it looks but I doubt there's many people that still have the haircut, let alone the blue one so I just kept it. I don't play that character though.

I've deleted my second male character after my first (also male) got to lv120, and I saw no reason of having two male characters. I then made a second female character. That character has recently reached lv100. There's no way I'm going to delete that, since I've spent in excess of 5days and 8M on that character (tank, buzzard, full garage, etc..).

i mostly create or delete a second character so I can do the Character Appearance glitch.

I deleted my second character who was only rank 20 or so to do the appearance glitch. I wrote down the settings and made my first character the spit of how my second looked.

Man, R* has really dropped the ball on some of the bug fixes in this game. I love the game, and they're one of the greatest developers ever, but something's just off about their approach, or lack thereof, to dealing with this trivial (to them) crap. I mean this is something that can easily destroy most of a player's investment in the game, and there have been reports of it since January at least.

No but i deleted my main character back when online first started before i created a second because he looked like a old crackhead and changed him. I ranked up that character to rank 61 and then went and created a female second character and played as both for a while but ultimately got bored of character number one and just ranked up my female character to 168 and stuck with her since because of multiple reasons i could go on for. Im thinking of deleting character #1 to make a alter ego of myself but does anyone know if that will effect my second character if i delete my first character?

Yes several times, I had a girl then deleted her then made nikos kid, deleted, and i now have another girl character never play her but when i do i make her where the nipple clamp things and a bikini bottom then i fap to it

Yea this was me. I cant say for sure it was because I deleted a second charachter but thats the only unusual thing I can recall doing around the time I lost all my vehicles. I was actually thinkin of doing the change appearance glitch and made a second charachter just to try it and I was just messin around and decided not to do the glitch and I just deleted the charachter instead, so it could have been something I was doin while messin with that glitch that triggered the vehicle loss.

There is no doubt in my mind the deletion of your second character is the cause.

 

I guess this isn't as publicized a problem as it should be because few people delete a character, and fewer yet paid legit money so those who may have lost all their stuff may just rebuy it with no pain.

 

Kinda lost here, since my connection is terrible I feel like I'm at a high risk of losing some expensive toys.

I created my secondary back in October, ranked her up to about 50. Bought everything with the free billions, but decided to delete in early January to create a better looking toon... Right before the R* took away all our money. Thus, I was left with a low level character, $0, and no Pegasus vehicles. FML.

noo my second character was created with sole purpose of ensuring that i stay wealthy during the billionaire days and the days following the purge.

 

to this day she still hold my millions.

Never used a second character. I only created one recently for the "Change Your Appearance" glitch to get rid of the scars on my character's face.

 

I like my main character enough that it would be weird playing GTA:O not using her.
