ALMOST610
After previously converting the Manhunt Blista Compact, also known as Beta model for the Vice City Blista Compact I thought about doing another car, I was originally going do one of the Vans or Trucks but after seeing the difference between the Manhunt and GTA III models I thought this was the best thing to do, not that it means I wont do the other ones. As you can see below the model shows the most difference at the back of the car, but overall it has roughly the same amount of Polys, maybe a little less but that is just because of the slightly rounder shape, it should be noted that the Manhunt model has no Interior, underbody or anything behind the removable panels on the vehicle so this will need to be made up or otherwise when you start crashing, smashing and bashing the car up you'll be able to see inside of it or right through it. Everything that I am not making myself I will be taking from the III Kuruma and adjusting/resizing to fit the model as best as possible. Who knows what will come next, before you know it I will start converting all the vehicles and then I might be inspired to start my Upstate Liberty Mod which intends to combine Carcer and Cottonmouth for a city at the other end of the Shoreside Vale Tunnel. Also after the Chit Chat in this topic we decided that the Manhunt Kuruma resembles the LCS Forelli ExSess so instead of naming this the Kuruma again or making it an older or newer model of the Kuruma it was decided that this vehicle will be called the 'ExSess', if you are not sure what the Forelli ExSess looks like UniverseTwisters posted some pictures further down this page. Jeansowaty
Dude you even ask, for sure convert it! I think that someone should pick up this project and make all the Manhunt cars alive for VC or SA Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/703408-wipcon-manhunt-kuruma/#findComment-1065239582 Share on other sites
ALMOST610
Well me being me, I have already stripped the panels off of the front end and filled in the gaps for the engine and areas when the bumpers and quarter panels fall off. There was already a few small bits left behind so it was not guess work but just bridging the gaps. Edit: I've also done a bit to the rear removing the bumper area and building up a model behind there so something exists when the bumper falls off, I've also had to get a new section of the right upper side as you can see as it was mangled a little out of shape (kinda like it was damage model section) and needed replacing, I've now started building an interior section for the boot and as you can see the doors have been stripped off also leaving not much behind on this model. So this and I suspect any other Manhunt vehicles will not be a simple textures and dummies placement for proper conversion into GTA it will require some modeling. Jeansowaty
A question, why not just convert it all, with the interior bits and everything? Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/703408-wipcon-manhunt-kuruma/#findComment-1065239965 Share on other sites
ALMOST610
There is no interior or other bits, all the bumpers and door are attached to the vehicle and when I separated them so they can open/be placed with dummies there is nothing underneath at all, to give you an idea of what I am working with Ill put a pic below. For this picture I imported the model into 3DS Max split it down the center to show you what I am working with, I hope this explains to you why I cant simply add dummies and set Carcols onto the body as underneath all those body panels is nothing and I need something so I have to make what I can and borrow the rest from the GTA3 Kuruma Model. Jeansowaty
That cleares things up for me. One moar question, what's the name of the file the cars are contained in in Manhunt? And what can I use to view their textures? Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/703408-wipcon-manhunt-kuruma/#findComment-1065240847 Share on other sites
ALMOST610
I've now started squeezing and reshaping the Kuruma Interior and Door Jams to fit the model, there is alot of cutting and measuring but things are shaping up now. @Jeansowaty, Thinking about converting some vehicles are you? there is no fixed location for the vehicles as they are not actually cars they are scenery so the models are all over the place, it is also why there is only the Body Shells and nothing else underneath. Edit: Come on people Comment!!!! It cant just be me and Jeasowaty viewing this topic, should the vehicle still be called a Kuruma, is it an updated Kuruma or an Older Kuruma, it is based on the same body but there are differences so is it perhaps a sister vehicle based on the same platform (like how Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, or GM Brands sell the same body car just with slightly different bumpers, grills etc) Edit: Interior Fitted to the vehicle, little more texturing in some areas on it but it is fitted now, also done the interior skins on the doors too. Jeansowaty
I'm not really interested in converting 'em myself, I don't know nothing about modelling =P. Well, there are some cool unique cars in Manhunt, they would look fine in GTA LC and MVL . By the way, my suggestion for the name would be 2013 Kuruma or maybe "Kuruma 2nd Generation"? As MH2 takes place in 2013 where you got this car I believe. Same goes for the Manhunt2 Blista, Manhunt Benson etc. Just mentioning that as Carcer converted to GTA LC with its own unique cars would be just perfect! ALMOST610
This Kuruma is from Manhunt 2, I thought that there was not a complete model in Manhunt 1 only burnt out ones but I could be wrong, out of curiosity where did you hear that Manhunt 2 was based in 2013, I have not played it in a while but I dont remember that being referenced. Perhaps I might end up doing my Upstate Liberty Mod and like I said above, build it around the Carcer and Cottonmouth maps as then it gives them a purpose and it makes things easier for me as I am not making an entire thing up off the top of my head. But going by the amount of interest in this mod it might not be supported too well. Anyway some more progress pics, I have finished the body and textures, I welded all the loose vertexs together them smoothed the shading on the model to make it look cleaner, I've still got to make up a damage model but a quick MVL demo might be uploaded soon for playing around with once I get the dummies and hierarchy made up. epoxi 1 Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/703408-wipcon-manhunt-kuruma/#findComment-1065246906 Share on other sites
Jeansowaty
I was wrong, it's in 2012. Six years later,in 2012 Daniel finds himself locked away, with no memory of who he is or his past. So yeah, that explains it all. I don't know why, but the car reminds me alot of the Forelli ExSess. Ah that seems right, but still, just because they car was seen in 2012 I guess that does not mean it is a 2012 model. I totally agree about the Forelli ExSess look alike thing, invert the rear tail lights and it is almost a twin to it, I can see differences between the two models but it would not surprise me if this was the base for it originally, as the Forelli also looks quite similar to the Kuruma and LCS Kuruma. ALMOST610
Best Idea I have heard in a while for the naming of a car, I think I might actually do that, perhaps there could be a sport model called the ExSess XS, LOL Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/703408-wipcon-manhunt-kuruma/#findComment-1065247005 Share on other sites

universetwisters
Holy damn, it's looking good! It does look like a mix of the Exsess and the Kuruma, though. ALMOST610
Thanks Buddy, I think the ExSess was a lazy way of making a new gang car really just changing the rear bumper and tail lights which seems just like Rockstar. It seems like an alright car. Sometimes I think of it as a "corporate cousin" like how Merucry and Ford sometimes sell each other's cars or whatever the proper term is (branding/badging?) But yeah, the Kuruma seems like a normal, everyday version whereas the Exsess seems like the luxury version. I have a question: Will you also try to convert the Manhunt Securicar for GTA games(GTA 3 for example),or the Kuruma only? Well I have already converted the Blista Compact back from Manhunt (which was actually a Vice City beta car), so now this Kuruma and I saw a truck (pic below) in some images that looked a bit different which I intend on looking into and perhaps doing next, I also saw these couple images of wrecked cars which I would like to get a better look at and perhaps revive into GTA as they look a little interesting, I might have to get the game going again and see them from some better angles. The Truck & Beta Blista Compact I would also like to take a look at the Manhunt 2 Blista and see if there is any major difference to the III model (apart from the grill) and perhaps also see about converting the Ambulance too, wow I am really making a list now. haha. I am sure that If I do all of them or atleast look into them then I'll also have to do the CCPD Enforcer and Securicar too. Yeah. Hey, if this would be a sister car to the Kuruma, then why not name it the "ExSess" ? Edit: After importing all those vehicles above into 3DS Max and looking at them I am also going to convert the Regular Van based on the Manhunt Ambulance as it is a nice different model and should scrub up nicely. ALMOST610
I cant really say this without sounding rude, but, Thanks Dumbass-Productions Come to think of it, there's a lot of vehicles in Manhunt. Burrito Benson Stallion (broken down) Pony Rumpo Linerunner Yankee Coach (broken down) Boxville Police Cruisers Trashmaster Mule Voodoo Greenwood (might only be in the cutscene) Stinger Admiral Bloodhound Patriot and the Project Militia Enforcer I don't know if you'll do all that, but it's good to know that those vehicles are there. I would only really do the vehicles that are different, the Stallion, Admiral, Stinger, Voodoo, Greenwood, Coach, Linerunner and a couple other dont really look different at all compared to their GTA Cousins so there would not be much use converting them, another interesting thing is that an unidentified wrecked car has the steeringwheel on the right side of the car, I cant think of what car this could be based off of, perhaps some of the people who know alot about some of the Betas might be able to identify it from somewhere. I would love to try and revive this thing if it is the case of being a Beta vehicle from San Andreas or somewhere. -DP- 1 Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/703408-wipcon-manhunt-kuruma/#findComment-1065252114 Share on other sites

I know about the truck, I don't know about you but I have played Grand Theft Auto games before so know what vehicles are in each game and what they look like, it is not a larger version of the Benson and before someone says that it is like the IV model, well this Truck is from Manhunt 1 which is from 2004 several years before IV, that is what some people have claimed it to be (for some reason they have to give them a GTA Vehicle name, it cant be a new vehicle according to people) The Benson looks to be based on a Ford F Truck when if you look at the front of the Manhunt Truck, although it may look similar it is being based on a GMC/Chevy.
