I'll see what I can do, but just a tip, if you set a capture objective on a person, you have to kill them to get the capture objective, so taken would be out of the bag.

Just finished this one; a capture based on the movie Falling Down .

 

It may just be amusing for fans of the movie but I tried to stay as close to the script as possible; and in that regard, I think it's a job well done. It is an unusual layout for a capture and while it is profitable, it's also easy which is why I made 4 teams. I placed actors with the bags (your dignity) along a straight route from the bodega to the park to the botched driveby, onto the park with the beggar, the fastfood joint, the army/navy store, the construction site then onto the peir; starting unarmed and gaining more and more powerful weapons along the way. The only location that is off this straight line is the golf course but I had to include that: "And now your going to die, wearing that stupid little hat."

Lolright, take it easy charlie, . I just said "you may want to" change the objective count.

However, you have to admit the description (and yes, even satire itself sometimes) has a little bit of a political tone. I personally don't think there's anything wrong with that; I'd like to see more jobs that mock the political nonsense you see on the "news" networks.

Depends on what scene of the many iconic scenes you wish to draw inspiration from.

 

I recommend the Tongva Vinyards for the heart attack scene. I did my own TDM there with pistols, but decided against trying to relate it to the Godfather and rather drew inspiration from the Marvin Gaye song.

i tried making a deathmatch based on the robbery scene from the movie Heat, but it sucked.

 

A capture inspired by heat should be much more doable

 

Place armored trucks in respawn areas so that players can drive into the mayhem without getting killed in the vehicle, just go all out with police, police actors, police actors in police helicopters, turn wanted levels on...should be real mayhem if you can fill the room, which is the biggest obstacle to captures atm...it is VERY difficult to design captures that are fun for 8v8 OR 2v2/3v3.

 

I may try this sometime since I used to love that movie, even though I had already given up on captures until the get desperately-needed fixes changes made.

You don't even need the armored truck I just set it in a spot with a lot of cover and added more. I wanted to make the player have to flee on foot like they do in the movie. It is hard but people finish it.

I know what you mean. Not enough people join captures and most of them suck as 1v1 but this one works well as a PvE. You can easily come into conflict with the other player(s) at the objective but I've played it a couple of times where we didn't see each other at all but still had to kill a lot of cops to get away.

 

I'll definitely add you and try to warn you of potential abortions if you join one. With the testing on captures set up like it is, I can't consider it properly tested until I've played it with People a few times.

I had to try Flukey's revelation about getting hookers in your car at the start line. This is a spot I know of but haven't had any luck yet. I have to admit, it's not the most original race but it is fun and I really wanted to try out this trick.

@Flukey: Do you have to have the time set to current and start it in the middle of the night or do you have to set the time for night in the settings?

 

The title is based on Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy but other than that and references to towels in the description, it doesn't have much to do with the movie really.

I've looked at big ball dynamics, still working on doing something other than my Peekaboo and Blade Runner races with the train dynamics.

 

Now I'm trying to exploit NPC reactions during a job. Specifically I want to make a race where a hooker might get into your car before a race starts. Its something unique and I want somebody to do it even if its not me.

Description: High above the muky-muk, Wonderboy faces the danger of the residents of muky-muk invading his terroritory, and so he now has to defeat the invading muky-muks.

 

Decided to do the inevitable and Jack Black myself out with making this. Considering we can't create jobs or even go to North Yankton, I had to improvise, so I decided to make a melee-esque type deathmatch on the mile-high skyscraper, because as Jack Black said in Wonderboy, "High above the muky-muk...", so the below Los Santos is implied to be the home of the muky-muks. Which makes sense, considering real Los Angeles is pretty much a muk itself. Also...
