Lolright, take it easy charlie, nobody's criticizing you and I appreciate that you shared your job. We still had fun after the bags disappeared. I just said "you may want to" change the objective count.

However, you have to admit the description (and yes, even satire itself sometimes) has a little bit of a political tone. I personally don't think there's anything wrong with that; I'd like to see more jobs that mock the political nonsense you see on the "news" networks.

On topic:

For those who haven't seen the Big Balls thread ( http://gtaforums.com/topic/706672-big-orange-ball-challenge/ ) I posted a Big Lebowski/GTA4 themed job. Also a work in progress, it's an attempt to make a bit of a bowling game out of an orange juice stand ball...y'know, because getting calls to go bowling is what everyone misses the most about GTA4.

Let's go Bowling:

Hey guys. I watched something on Cinemax that wasn't ez-porn: Heat, the bank heist movie from the 90s.

So I made a capture job for ps3 but more of a PvsE type that takes place around the skyscrapers. It kind of traps you: forces you to get a wanted level and flee on foot.

Capture PS3

Heat

It's hot. The cops are closing in and are coming down hard on this heist. Do what you can to get away. Blow up LSPD, shoot peds for their cars, hell, take a child hostage if you can find one.

Another two for me.

Quadrophenia

http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/games/gtav/jobs/job/O6232PudeEej-6wD6N_jtA?platformId=null

A melee only DM set by the beach, this is my take on the 1979 UK cult classic. A battle between the mods and the bikers. Just finished testing it and it seems bug-free and a lot of fun.

Battle Royale

http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/games/gtav/jobs/job/3giaGYN8eUu_95ieFeYUrw?platformId=null

My take on the Japanese classic, each contestant spawns with a weapon, although like the movie it's random and can be anything from tear gas to an RPG. This is a huge map and plays better with more people obviously.

I made one based on Gone in 60 Seconds. It is called Beekers vs LS Customs. You are told to get Eleanor from the garage and then you a told to take it to the rival shop. It is a half hour mission that can be done fast with two people. But for teams there are Gauntlets available to stop the opposing drivers. So options are available to meet imaginations. Just stop the other team and more than likely GPS will take the drivers the same way. Now if two drivers do you try to stop him or not? Winning is the key here.

http://rsg.ms/1o0JkUg

Maybe someone knows this but can you start a capture with a at least a three star wanted level? That would make a Gone in 60 seconds even that much more accurate.

Sounds cool, a Nick Cage movie I was able to sit through. I'll check it out. What about Raising Arizona? Hey, that might make a pretty good capture: try to get diapers for Jr, while cops, escape prisoners, annoying yuppies, and a crazy guy on a motorcycle chase you down. Too bad Ode To Joy (The Pete Seeger version) isn't on Rebel Radio.

As for starting a capture with a wanted level, there are two ways I can think of off the top of my head.

1. Start in Fort Zancudo. Not sure if you can put the start points there (never tried for some reason) but I know from a couple of Flukey's races that if you drive through there, you get quite the chase.

2. Start with actors nearby that the player will have to kill. In my capture version of Heat(see above), I didn't want the cops to attack at the players at the start but as soon as they grab the objectives. So I placed guards for the bags. They're a pushover but it's the police response when you kill them that makes the run back to the HQ fun and cinematic.

Update: Darnit my games are on the XBOX. I should have pointed that out.

Hopefully in one of these updates we'll get more options. Being able to control wanted levels would be great. I'll look more tomorrow at options. CVG said something about putting AI actors in cars, but you know how those half full guys are. They thought our apartments would be customizable for Pete's sake.

I don't think you can force vehicles in a point to point but that would be almost mandatory if you want to create something accurate.

Like say Death Proof. For that you would want to force a Vigero and a Buccaneer. I don't even know if this could be done, but at the end of the race you have a finish that is in a place you have to run and jump over to get to. Thus knowing the character traits of people online they are going to fight. Granted they get their at the same time and you can force weapons off.

Next is Thelma and Louise. Now to keep this accurate you would be able to ( R* you writing this down? ) force playable f e m a l e ( would be nice in Death Proof too ) characters. Keeping it real ya know? The thing is here it would have to be a point to point And a rally. The kicker will be at the end with the finish line floating in air ( doable with a little creativity ) off a cliff.

Another game I would like to do would be a long haul race based on Vanishing Point, but how do you finish a race that doesn't end well? When you get to the finish you have to have a caboom. And you don't ( wtf R* ) have Dozers to place at the end. Every vehicle in this game should be able to be used. Still looking around though, they may be in there somewhere.

Do you have a friend with a ps3? There are ps3 races on this thread for Death Proof and Vanishing Point and they are both a lot of fun.

A couple of other pointers that might help you:

You can put actors in vehicles in a capture. Place the vehicle, then place the actor on top of the vehicle. The only problem is that they don't respawn in or with the vehicle so it's kind of a one shot deal. However if you set them to "wander" and their vehicle still exists, they will go back to it. My Akira based capture jobs involve a lot of armed clowns I placed on bikes. You can then place the objectives on them too and have them carrying the objective.

Your Vanishing Point "race" may be better suited as a capture job too. Start off with a GTA Capture have the objective vehicles at the starting line and the drop off point at the finish line. Then at the finish line have a lot of the exploding gas tanks and heavily armed actors (cops & rangers).

Peeeel's take on the cartoonish outburst of Wild West violence. You are Banderas and you will take out this bar full of miscreants, although you may want to preserve ammo more than Banderas. That's Latin temperament for you

I'm a big fan of Robert Rodriguez' films. This should be fun^^^

I'm surprised you didn't make it a capture job with the Mariachi actors.

Speaking of captures. I made that Raising Arizona capture. I had a little problem with the store's doors opening on the first live play (worked fine in the tests apparently because I entered the creator from GTAV rather than GTAO) but after adding bags just outside the store we were able to enter the store again during the job. So I don't know; there are bags outside but if you can get in the store, another teammate can grab an extra one. I'm still fiddling with it but (what else is new) the other randoms I play it with seem to enjoy themselves a lot since I fixed it.

Raising Arizona (PS3 Capture-Contend) More of a PvE type match but you can come in conflict with the opponents at the objective.

1_0.jpg

You have one of the only babies in SanAndreas and Jr needs diapers. Get your banjo and yodel Ode To Joy while we steal some from the store. Watch out for the cops and some hairy merc. To make things worse your old convict buddies and your new yuppie buddies have turned on you.

I had thought about it, I'm thinking about making a once upon a time in Mexico capture. I wanted a map with a lot of players and low powered weapons, so that way the cartoonish effect would work better. It's really hectic with a full map, but I like it, however I've had a few players saying it would be better with owned, the option is there but I think it'd be a bit too loco with owned weapons enabled.

If only we had swords or syringes I could make some Scottish movies come to GTA.

Lol, I really think there should be an option to disable explosives when selecting weapons.

Sticky bombs and grenades can really ruin a good GTA race.

So anyway, I was advised to bump this thread to post this capture

Grand Theft Marston http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/games/gtav/jobs/job/xScMG4UIIkyJcFWS28u5kg?platformId=2

The idea is you are the great great grandson of John Martson from Red Dead Redemption. So your grandfather has died and is being buried in LS cemetery but his with was to be buried in the desert. 2 teams fight over the hearse to be the first to get it to the desert burial plot.

Its based on the movie Grand Theft Parson and was made by my friend Mike who is a lieutenant of the official GTA Forums crew. Its a great crew who really supports created content. Its the main reason one of my races is up to nearly 1.3k plays.

Many of the bigger crews I've recently been involved with seem to expect you to join the creations of a select few but never seem to reciprocate by playing your content.

One thing I've noticed from the GTA Forums crew is they will try your content and even bookmark and replay your creations with full lobbies over and over.

Check out the recruitment forum to be a part of GTA Forums official crew. http://gtaforums.com/topic/592131-the-gtaforums-official-crew/

Anybody else got any movie based creations?

Planes, Trains and Automobiles - [PS3] *GTA Race mode a must*

2rfg0f8.jpg

You have to parachute onto a moving train from a stolen jet. Crucial checkpoint hidden inside a barricaded tunnel. You can only make it through if you're riding on the train (and you put any gun away). It seems that some weapons don't get through the blocked tunnel entrance when you are armed.

Lots of fun with wanted level on. Rocketing helis flying parallel to train. I find playing solo a blast. When there is more than one player it's still fun but first player to the train tracks causes a train to spawn below them (a little south) upon opening parachute, so other(s) need to catch the same train (or wait 2 GTA minutes for the next) or respawn, get a new jet and blast your opponent back to base before they reach the tunnel.

It's actually called, "Planes, Trains and Motos" due to motorcycles only and limited characters allowed.

Thanks so much for this.

I've wanted to experiment with the train dynamics for a long time and I hope you've nailed something good here.

I've added this and will be playing with fingers crossed that you've done something amazing. I'll post my feedback after I've tried it.

THOSE AREN'T PILLOWS! Classic movie.

I have also been thinking about how to incorporate trains into jobs/races for some time. I put another creation on hold when this creation started to develope in my head.

I just wish Rockstar gave us more control. Would like to choose which weapons are allowed and would like to set the "weapons enabled" timer to say 40 seconds instead of 10. Just to name a few. Allowing players to board the train at least before killing each other.

I hope that my race inspires people to create something similar because this being my first with trains I am sure there can be improvements. And I'm sure I will make adjustments to it. Hope to see more like these.

I removed all my "normal" races from published. i think they are really good but there are hundreds of thousands out there to choose from. :p

BTW. If John Candy and Steve Martin had a kid, well that's what I look like.

(Not really, I look more like Jeff Bridges)

This is interesting. I like the fact you can block the railway line and the train passes straight through. It doesn't get a player through the prop unless you are on the lowered carriage.

Thanks. I actually passed through the props standing on the top of the train a few times last night. Also while holding an RPG but I think if it's active (while you are aiming) is when it becomes "solid"? IDK? I have no problem most of the time but you can't expect success every time with something that is not built into the game.

BTW. You can actually sneak behind the barricade if needed. I was lazy and left a space behind the float boxes.

I'd abandoned the idea of doing something with the train but you've inspired me to give it another go.

What else do you know about getting a train to spawn? Is it really every 2 minutes GTA time?

I fly around looking and looking and there's no train. I eject and a train then spawns nearby after I open the chute it seems. So now I just parachute when I arrive. If I miss the train (which I seldom to do) then another train comes along every 2.2 minutes or so. So it's probably pointless to plan on catching another train. I just respawn and fly back over and jump again. I'm not sure if it matters what the time of day the setting is set on? Also, it was my error saying GTA time, whatever the timer is on the race clock. I suppose that's real timing.

Using trains with multiple players may work well but it would have to be carefully thought out. Add hyperkane, no (-NA) on the end like my SC page and maybe we can experiment with it? Just don't blow me outta the sky on the way to the train (or do) :p or PM me here if you want to exchange ideas.

Finally understanding how to place props nearly anywhere so in my spare time I plan changes in some and it's giving me new options.

Correction: It spawns after ejecting. Opening the chute is not needed to spawn train. You can wingsuit or glide to train and then open.

Technically this isn't based off a movie, but a TV show.

Attack on Titan (Link here:http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/member/dillono/games/gtav/jobs/job/3f7XTCMoykidAzdVL1b3MA?platformId=null)

Description: Here @ TP Inc. we work hard to get the best for our best customers. That's why I need you take a titan from the lost so I can sell them to the vagos. Be careful, I heard they stole it from Fort Zancudo, so keep an eye on anyone with a Mesa heading your direction.

I thought that making a GTA with a titan would be new and fresh, and it allowed for a pun, but has little to nothing to do with the show. (Fun Fact: If you get in the titan, I programmed it to say "Player X picked up the Colossal Titan")

I was also going to make a taxi driver(not the movie, more like that old-school cab driver game) capture the following day, but I realized when you put capture packages on NPCs, you can't make them get in vehicles, so you had to KILL them to get the package, and then to your base(AKA destination). It broke the whole theme of what I was trying to create. Hope when the mission creator comes out you can do that sort of stuff.

Had a lot of fun on this tonight. :)

Thanks. That was a close match.

I know you like the source material; great avatar btw. Since we can't go to Las Venturas (yet; fingers crossed on that being first pay for dlc) I based it on the beginning of the book/movie when they're gathering the 'supplies' for their trip. You get to be Raul and Gonzo's dealers.

Don't know if you noticed but I made the respawn vehicle the Stinger to reference the "Stingray" that kills the pedestrian in front of them on their way to pick up the tape recorder.

I'm still working on it. The FBI carrier sometimes gets stuck in the airport. Once I fix that I might add another bag at the airport gate. I was thinking of moving some of the outer carriers closer to the center of LS to encourage more confrontations. I love the confusion the starting points cause. I always hear a lot of random gunfire at the beginning.

-A capture based on the scene from Die Hard With a Vengeance which recreates the scene where Willis and Jackson have to get the taxi across the busy city in a set time to stop the bomb.

-A capture based on the movie Taken

-Something to do with Django

-A strictly Team GTA race locked to sedans called Driving Miss Daisy
