Buzzard blowing itself up when the co-pilot uses the missiles

For no apparent reason. When my friend shoots a missile from the buzzard. 2 - 3 seconds later he said he killed me and he died. has anyone had this issue before? it's happen twice now with another person too.

I have only done this or been killed by it when moving, the heli descends into the trajectory of the missile.
