There was a good theory on GTA V O'clock that Lamar died causing Franklin to put more effort into the hood, but Lamar didn't. Also I think they could have killed one of Michael's family during 'Meltdown', this would have added more anger and hatred for Devin Weston, who I didn't even hate that much by the end of the game.
