In GTA V cars rarely take so much damage that they blow up like in the old games.

If you steal a Phantom in single player and go full speed into a cop car they usually explode.

 

Plus wheels fly off of cars all the time in SP. Preeeeety cool.

Well, in online at least, I took my Buffalo down Old Man's Crack and it still handled like a dream at the bottom. It may have been missing doors, the hood, and the trunk, but it still drove straight and at top speed.

As long as you damage any car equally on both sides, it'll still drive straight

I'm in love with my Roosevelt. Considering it's actually advertised as an armored vehicle I think it's safe to say it's near the top of the list.

 

I bought it in February but that's when I was taking a break, so I didn't really get to take it for a real drive until a couple weeks ago. A few of my friends (4 of us total for a while, one had to leave) took turns driving it for about 2 hours without doing any repairs. Playing bumper cars with a train, missing horribly on stunt jumps and some off-roading, Cargobob wrecking ball and dropping it, and cleaning house on multiple 5-star chases and surviving a bounty in a full lobby. The front axis and wheels of the car were so beat up by the end that if I was driving "straight" without touching the stick it would pretty much do donuts on it's own, and the passengers in the back seat were clipping through the sides of the doors. Would have been funny to see what it looked like to have them hanging on the sides.

 

Of course with all fun things in this game someone had to ruin it when they saw a few blips far from everyone else (and probably heard us laughing about it) and decided he wanted to come blow us up in his Buzzard. It was smoking pretty heavily at that point so it probably didn't have much left in it and may have even caught fire on it's own, but it would have been nice to see how how much more we could have gotten out of it it. Would have been hilarious if it survived the rockets.
