For plenty of people, having a high K/D ratio is just a side effect of them taking pleasure in killing others and not getting killed themselves. Broken combat or not, killing and not getting killed in online games is typically still considered winning by most.

 

Not every player with a high K/D is a twelve year old "try-hard". Personally, I have simply CHOSEN to try and get/keep it high, but I don't go bragging about my number as I'm not pretending to be the best PvP'er in this game, nor do I even fight that often. See how that's entirely possible? And even if I hadn't made that choice, my playstyle would still result in it being higher than many others, on account of me being careful and not wanting to give other players the satisfaction of taking me down.

 

The only thing I find weirder than people going to extremes to get their K/D up is when people care so much about another player's numbers. Other people's K/D ratio's are apparently the hot new trigger here. (by new I mean since GTA:O release)

 

I agree. I don't know why some people keep saying that the combat in this game is "Utterly Broken". Really? It's Broken? Which bit? Can someone explain what they mean by that? Because it seems like a nonsensical generic response to avoid actually having to explain anything.

 

It is what it is, I quite like it and I don't mind if certain numbers spur people on to improve at the game, whether it's Race wins, DM wins, Headshot kills, or KD.

I had a freemode battle with this guy and he gets salty when I had the same kills as him and I go passive. We also had a message battle in freeroam with him spamming pu$$y but I don't have the screenshot. Some people aren't exactly the sharpest tools in the shed. One of my friends is ranked 375ish, and even they have been asked multiple times if they're a modder or if they can drop "sum mony plz". It's ridiculous and I get kicked from jobs and asked the same questions on a fairly regular basis.

 

The game has been out over three years; it took me less than a month to reach 100 with two of my characters and just a bit over a month for the other. When I last did that, I wasn't even playing non-stop and nothing has ever been modded on my end either.

 

Some people just don't use their brains or they clearly don't understand the game at all
