It's just over the top modded right now in it's stock version. Everything is so low you'd thing you would scratch the whole car by driving over a pebble.

...but he'll take a thorough bred race car any day of the week, right? Which is of course why the Feltzer is king.

 

I think of the Feltzer as a victim of its own success. It was the first car I ever purchased from Legendary Motorsports and I currently own two. There wasn't a car show you went to in the early days that didn't have one. It wasn't just a looker either. It was a proven track winner that would send shutters to those who were looking for an edge realizing that if the guy behind the wheel was worth his salt he could be the wrench in their works. But like any song played multiple times on the radio, everybody wants to be different so you started seeing less and less of it. Races like Long Haul and Route 68 started being the norm and the Feltzer wasn't so capable on the mind numbing high speed noob tracks.

 

That didn't stop it from being an awesome car though and it is still seen in Sport Class races from the purists. Alas, the final nail in the Feltzer's coffin was the Jester. New and fresh, not as big as the Feltzer and indeed felt much faster and a little more easy for the first time racer. Not to mention it didn't have the Feltzer's top end weakness (it's currently holds my top for top speed). Which meant the Feltzer got the Schaft (pun intended).

 

Now car shows see the overdone chrome and gaudiness of Supers as being unacceptable and for the most part ban them or peer pressure them into being faux paus, while showing off in certain Sports is also considering passe and worthy of ridicule, preferring the 4 doors and Muscle cars that still proliferate real life car shows.

 

Still the Feltzer is like the lightsaber to the Sports class blasters. Not as clumsy or random, a more elegant vehicle for a more civilized age. For those of us who know, the Feltzer will always have a place in the garage and time on the track.

Bought a new Feltzer the other day. Always liked it. Hadn't had one yet on X1. It sounds amazing now! Painted mine race yellow and put chrome Duper 7s on. No bumpers or fenders or anything besides the small wing.

The Feltzer and the Comet are two cars deserving the "livery upgrade" package.

 

I kinda hate joining sprots car races and seeing a field of Jesters and Massacros with nary a "classic" (read launch) Sports Car amongst them.

 

I'd love to drive the lesser beasts in races, and would if I knew everyone else was too and it'd be a more even playing field, but if you intend to win you need to at least give yourself a car that's not woefully underpowered compared to the OP livery twins.

 

So, for that reason I'd love to see new cars given the Race Spec treatment and even more so, see those cars shuffled off into their own class....which would just result in a field of non-racing Jesters and Massacros, but at least it'd be something, eh?
