Isn't that suppose to be the goal? Kill all the professionnals?

I got this last night after I fired an RPG into the middle of the mess.

 

It said I destroyed the briefcase, but made me kill all the guys before finally giving me the message you received.

I got this after killing the woman professional.

You might have, by accident, blown up the vehicle that is in the middle with a few professionals around it. That middle vehicle holds the briefcase that you have to collect it and when you blow the vehicle up, the briefcase gets destroyed, and the game makes you kill all the Professionals, regardless, and you end up failing anyways.

Happens randomly, same thing goes for trash talk when you kill the leader & it says mission failed the leader was killed.

It happens when you blow up the documents before the professional who had them is killed. So the documents never spawn, because you killed the professional who had them in a way which meant he couldn't drop them, ergo 'A professional was killed' .

I cleared the parking lot using the minigun so that make sense but I don't remember that it said that I destroyed the briefcase. I guess I was too surprised that I failed to read the entire notification.

9/10 times it results in exactly that.

It told me in a little box in the corner. So I waited for the mission failed screen for about a minute, nothing happened. So I killed all the guys and finally gave me the fail screen with the professional was killed crap.

 

The briefcase sits on the ground inside the parking structure, if you blow the vehicle in the middle it will destroy the briefcase, even tho they have made it so the briefcase won't activate until you kill all the perps.
