Optimization for a clumsy player?

One of my friends has never been coordinated and so has always had really lousy performance at these types of games. However, he still enjoys joining his friends and being able to participate and so he sticks it out.

I've been giving him tips, but it would be interesting to hear others thoughts on what would be the best "clumsy resistant" cars and guns that he could use. Auto-aim does help, a lot, for him but what would be the ideal weapons that rapidly acquires targets?

With a car he's generally a mess and is challenged with even driving in a straight line. We've told him to adjust his sensitivity settings, but even then he's always over compensating. I suspect if we were not all meeting up online from hundreds or thousands of miles apart from each other then we'd be able to guide him through how he's physically using the controller, but we can't so the next best thing is to find a car that is able to easily absorb exaggerated movements and still remain on course.

Rocket Skates

I suggest the auto-shotgun. It is pretty devastating, even if you're not aiming on the enemy right. A coupé or a compact style car would be your best option as they are not super fast (helps him avoid crashing) but still reasonably quick and they don't tend to roll much like say an SUV would.

I'd roll in in the Alpha for a car as its quick and stable, even easier to drive and almost as fast is the four door Felon. Use the auto shotgun as a weapon as suggested above.

If he can't drive the Alpha or Felon four door one of the little front wheel drives is a bit of a rocket and wont spin out.

Probably this will sound strange to most of you, but isn't he just trying to hard? (not sure what's the best way to put it).

I sometimes catch myself doing that, pushing multiple buttons at the same time with all kind of stupid results.

If that happens i just relax my fingers a second and then it's over, not sure why i do that

DavieShredder

The dirty Sanchez and the Gauntlet are IMHO the best two beginner vehicles in the game.

I found that riding bikes was the easiest way for me to get around when I started because of corner negotiation and fitting though gaps.

The Gauntlet is stable around corners, quite quick and can make its own gaps as it's tough as nails.

Is he only clumsy in open world games? If so, tell him to play deathmatches and other linear game modes to help him level up and such. When he is a high level (40+) tell him to try races and if he has an improved perfomance, he is ready to play the game it was meant to be played.

4 seater like a Felon looks pretty nice but handles and drives well. Also compacts like a Blista would be easy also

Theres a, hehe, dirty Sanchez?

OT: Best weapon for target acquisition is the combat mg / mg due to how long range it will lock onto targets. Regarding vehicles, I guess your best bet would be to have a Granger or some other big, heavy vehicle that won't be messed up too much from running into npcs/scenery props.

The easiest car to drive is the Entity Shirley?

Just tell "him" to leave it unmodified so it's not too fast.

4-door Felon is a great car with very forgiving handling.

Makes even a sh*t driver look decent.

Yes, i know. Must look pretty stupid for the spectators when they see me do a blow kiss or whatever the action is set to in the middle of a Survival wave.

You're so badass, you kiss your enemies goodbye before you kill them.

There, saved you. :D
