coryc90
Okay so... I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post this but I haven't been on here for a while... My GTA San ANdreas game just randomly stopped working. It worked fine for a few days and now it won't work. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it and it still doesn't work. Every other game I have works perfectly fine. The GTA SA game will load to the main menu, I can click load game or new game and it tries to load then it crashes. Before I uninstalled it I had some CLEO mods and some custom cars and what not but it worked fine a day before so I don't see why that'd all the sudden be the problem. The disc I have is actually quite old but I've kept in unscratched all these years. I don't understand why it still does this after I reinstalled it? If I have to I can just buy a new copy of the game, it's just odd that this happened all the sudden. lol Edited April 17, 2014 by cc1990
lil weasel
Moved to its own topic. Have you tried deleting the gta_sa.set file as the first step? If it still doesn't work then how about telling us about the game. Which operating system do you have. Is the game DVD (v2), or the Legit Download (v3)? Did you install with Admin Privileges? Have you tried a compatibility Mode? Is it installed to C:/ (default) drive? Were any mods installed?

The game is a DVD version 2. .Did you install with Admin Privileges? Yes. Have you tried a compatibility Mode? Yes, that didn't do anything. lol Is it installed to C:/ (default) drive? Yes. Were any mods installed? I had a few CLEO mods, a car and weapon spawner and one that alters the way the game looks, better reflections, different water texture and what not. I also had quite a bit of custom cars installed. Everything was working fine unil yesterday. When I uninstalled the game I even got rid of the files in documents and the one in the C;/ drive to make sure everything was gone and it still messed up. lol
