Best Muscle Car?

Personally, I prefer the Ruiner over all of them. It is my favorite muscle car, with my second favorite being the Buccaneer. If I had to choose between the more modern muscle cars, I'd choose the Dominator. It feels like one of the older ones, just updated. But Ruiner over all. You can tell every other muscle racer in their Gauntlet to save the tears for the pillow as you scorch by them in the underdog of every race.

Dominator. Paint it ultra blue with black stripes, stick some black cheetah RR wheels on it, rear louvres and the small ducktail-ish spoiler.

 

Best looking muscle car, and it goes pretty quick too.

Sabre Turbo is my go-to muscle car.

I really need to get me another Sabre Turbo when the extra garages become available.

 

That was my Supernatural car.

 

I haven't owned one but it's been high on my want list for a while. I'd have one now if it wasn't for the fact the Dominator is a better racer.

Dominator and Gauntlet are the most powerful in the game, as other said.

 

Mine is Gauntlet, which I *believe* has better acceleration.

For that 'American muscle' look/feel/handling, either the Vigero or Sabre Turbo - probably going to get one or both eventually.

But personally (and this may simply be because I'm ultra-lame, and I decked it out like K.I.T.T. from 'Knight Rider'), I love the Ruiner - sleek, evil-looking, powerslides great once you get the hang of the handling, and the engine sounds like a monster. If I had to downsize to a 2-car garage, I'd be keeping this one for sure.

Driving: 1.Phoenix 2.Vigero (they both loose their back on corners and I really like to try to control that)

Domintor is much faster in acceleration than the Gauntlet, not sure if they change the car files with patches because sone months ago everyone was saying the Gauntlet was the choice car but currently in 1.12 the Dominator is much faster. Once you get to a corner the Gauntlet may catch up but it's going to depend on driving style and which springs you are using.

 

On my .64 mile testing drag/top speed strip.

 

Dominator = 26.7

Gauntlet = 27.334

Ruiner = 27.515

Sabre = 28.267

Vigero = 28.465

Phoenix = 28.614

 

Bucceneer I don't have on hand but it's not in the top three.

 

Best two for having fun are Vigero and Pheonix in that order for me because they drive the most awesome, Sabre's looks are right up there.

Vigero.

 

When all the engine & brake mods are applied, It's SO much fun to drive. Sounds great too. Also you don't see many people driving them so you look unique.

 

I don't like the new US muscle look, they look like Hot Wheels designed them *ahem Gauntlet n' Dominator*

 

I find the Sabre a bit too unsteady at high speeds and impossible to correct, also it peels out for a bit too long.

 

Bucaneer is lovely to look at but drives like a bit of a ship.

 

Ruiner is very 80s but is a bit floppy around the corners.

 

Phoenix is a looker and a close second, but the braking was SO bad you could never stop the thing which would wind me up.

Domintor, Ruiner, and Gauntlet. The top 3 are a class in themselves. A good driver can win with any of them although the Gauntlet is much easier to drive.

 

The Phoenix and Sabre are a distant 4th and 5th.

Looks best, sounds best, acceleration is best, driving is the most fun (if you can handle the beast).

It's just awesome!

 

The only other muscle car in GTA history I've liked more is the Dukes. SO GODDAMN IT R*! Bring it back!

I've been racing in the Muscle class a lot lately in my Phoenix, and though it is fun to drive and does well in most races; I always seem to have Gauntlets and Ruiners.. and every so often a Dominator right on my tail and as soon as we come upon an open straighy the Phoenix just can't keep up.

No idea where most of you are getting your information from but the Buccaneer has the highest top speed, the Gauntlet out performs the Dominator on everything (acceleration, braking and traction) except top speed to which they are equal. Also the Ruiner and Phoenix are equal on all statistics.

Lot depends on personal preference... and also there's factors missing in that table.. I mean the Ruiner and Phoenix are damn near identical in terms of performance but the Phoenix spins out like hell in my experience..

 

Personally, my faves in any kind of order run

 

Ruiner > Picador > Bucanner > Phoenix > Hotknife > Sabre Turbo

 

Not really used the others too much, but when I can get a second garage, I'll be sure to Pokemon them.....

The Dominator can, will and does suck the doors off the Gauntlet under acceleration. That just shows the performance bars mean almost nothing .

If it's for races then I would suggest the Dominator but for sheer muscle quality its got to be the Vigero, just such a cool car to drive.
