CJ killed Ryder
When GTA IV was out, lots of people found the bowling calls from Roman annoying. It even created a meme. In GTA V, however, it's still possible to call for activity BUT I don't remember getting called for activity. Coincidence or did Rockstar listen? Trevorphilipjfry
I feel they listened to a lot of the complaints from GTA 4. Contacts Driving Countryside Planes Etc. Yeah, I thought that feel is because I didn't play it for few months. They are slightly better now, but still after killing someone with silenced pistol in the mountains I've got wanted level. Lock n' Stock
I'd much rather get phone calls from Roman to go bowling, rather than text messages telling me I have to deliver supplies in a van because the delivery drivers in LS are lazy bastards. Tilemaxx
They did. But here's the paradox: In 2008, R* took another direction. GTA fanbase were like: "They didn't listened to the fans and they ruined/removed all the great SA features". In 2013 they listened the fans, but the fanbase again (some of them anyway): "They didn't do it their own way, and they listened the fans this time because they were afraid". Criticism to V now, is as unfair as it was to IV five years ago. Lowi, Eazyy, Argon and 1 other

WavyWeazel
We sort of have that in GTA Online, except instead of Bowling, it's Ron telling me to go get some of those stupid crates. jakfox
heroe
Its not really that people are complaining on whether they listened or not, it just seems like instead of having a middle ground they either go from one extreme to another.

I love the f*ckin game. Sure it would be nice to be able to crouch, go into the interiors of your businesses, have an underworld economy of drug selling, gang fights, fight clubs, gambling, just those repeatable activities that keep you entertained while free roaming. Osho
I feel they listened to a lot of the complaints from GTA 4. Contacts Driving Countryside Planes Etc. A bigger question is, do you think they're still listening? I think Rockstar always listens to the fans, and no denying at that. And, I also feel, fans are equally responsible for many complaints, currently GTA V has given rise. So, in a way, we too need to be blamed if the series taking in the direction quite a number of players do think it's not appropriate or lacks that "GTA" feel entirely. Did their ultimate best to offer another great title, of course, for me they listened to a lot of things and took out significant elements that has hurt a group of previous gameplay fans. [ I'm not able to assign the sentence with the correct emotion, but more or less, it has been also a disappointment playing GTA V, after waiting so long, unlike at the time of GTA IV's (or any previous) release ] D3ADSH0T

DeafMetal
I think they definitely did. Felt to me like they were making gta iv with palm trees up until the second delay where they addressed some of the things players were asking for that they hadn't implemented into the game. Guest
Six months and they still haven't fixed the sh*tty broken driving, one of the most important parts of the game. No, in the minds of R*, soundtrack updates are waay more important right? And adding supercars that handle exactly the same as every other supercar in the damn game. That slightly resembles how cars move to me. It's not broken. Nothing you can say will make it broken. You don't know the definition of broken if you think the driving is broken. Nobody enjoys the actual driving experience, what people enjoy is getting from place to place quickly. Nobody goes on V and thinks "I think I'll go for a nice drive and enjoy my new car". No, for them, the cars are just a disposable tool to get from place to place. If R* released a racing game using V's handling, and nothing else, it would sell sh*t. People play V for other things, not solely for driving. IV, however, is completely different. People could get from A to B with taxis, and people who e njoyed driving could go for a nice cruise. As for your second point, bicycles go forwards and backwards and turn. A f*cking dog can go forrwards, backwards and turn. V doesn't have anything that cars at their very basics have. No suspension, no transmission, aerodynamic effects or anything like that. When you're at 100mph there's no thrill because you can stop on a dime and turn 90 degrees whenever you want. That's not how cars work, buddy. Edited April 17, 2014 by Guest Please break up quote trains, thank you.
DeafMetal
Nobody actually likes V's driving *raises hand* I'd show you all the reviews where the driving was noted as an improvement over V but I'm on my phone. Also, if you think iv is realistic driving, you don't drive.
