Fort Zancudo needs a Buff...

Seriously, it's too easy to steal a jet. Add in anti aircraft cannons like you had in Area 69 back in San Andreas, and make it so the new Lester feature doesn't work in the base. You want a jet, fight it for it noob.

 

Also, would be sweet if fighter jets pursued you when you got max stars. After stealing one, you don't have much of a challenge unless you're sh*t and smack into a tree like a dumbass.

It's actually really hard if you stick around the base too long. Tanks start spawning, guys are already near jets so when you hop in you start smoking before getting off the ground. It can be really challenging but I take it you just parachute in and take off like most rational players would do. Try jumping the fence (from the mountain) in the worst stock car you can find and do a lap of the strip before stealing a jet.

I never understood the complaint of Zancudo being OP; it's an army base, that's kinda the point. Right now, it's too easy for me. Heli over fence, land, kill guard, hop in jet, slight manoeuvre, and I'm away. I want more dammit, moar.

 

I hope R* add in a 6 star wanted level too - Merryweather tanks spawn everywhere and jets chase you. Oh, one can dream.

Just from a gameplay balance perspective NO

 

Jets are very easy to kill with a heavy sniper, and their griefing ability is very limited, unlike tanks they pay insurance and can't kill people in passive mode, also its very difficult to actually kill anyone given the cannon has the same range as a nerf gun and people can just dodge behind buildings or go underneath something.

Even if it was too easy to get a jet that's not a problem since you have to get all the way back to the base to get one again if you die

 

 

From a realistic perspective NO

 

This is not a frontline army base in a warzone ffs, soldiers aren't constantly on guard, nor are there tanks and jets patrolling around expecting an untrained civillian to jump in the base with a supercar to try and steal a jet. The Base would probably have to get clearance and disable IFF systems to shoot down one of their own jets anyway.

(IRL your character wouldn't even know how to start the engine let alone let alone fly it away and use the weapons systems lol)

Maybe he finally got his Lazer and is too happy to get on the forum. Or he got mowed down by another minigun soldier and gave up on life.

Try it in solo session, there are guys and tanks and aa everywhere. Even npc jets launch and shoot you down. In Public lobbies with lots of people shooting each other there isnt enough processor power to keep up so it is relatively easy. I don't often use jets cause they aren't much good for anything but tanks and I have much better luck killing tanks with tanks but sometimes when I steal a jet there are hardly any opposition but other times in chill lobbies with few people when I wanna just practice flying it there are npc tanks everywhere and it's hard to get off the ground and when you do you always have to dodge missles.

 

The cops are the same way, when you get lots of players in the same spot killing everything the cops pretty well quit spawning and you hardly see any on 5 stars but With only a few people in the session they are so damn thick you almost can't see road, lol!

Fort Zancudo is fine right now, I dont think it needs any sort of tweaking. The only thing that is just a little bit annoying is the ''super aimbot jets'' that sometimes appear out of nowhere after you steal a jet.

Never understood the complaint of Fort Z. It's really damn easy to steal a jet without the noob ability to call Lester up and have no cops for 3 minutes. Unless tanks are involved...NPC super aimbot plus the explosive round shot from a tank equals instant death.

He has a point. I've been in countless lobbies with jet hogs, IMO blind eye shouldn't work in Fort Zancudo. Before it was generally okay you had that one guy you ran into that would blow you up once or twice because they didn't want to risk losing the jet. With it being so easy people are just flying around blowing everyone up like it's nothing... almost no change there then.

 

Anyway, doesn't it say it makes the cops turn a blind eye? If it does then surely it would make sense to disable it for Zancudo seeing as the military isn't technically police.

Its really easy to steal jets and other things. Its a millitary base though, It should have SAM Missiles like they did in SA, I wish there was 6 stars so that Rhinos would chase you and other jets when in aircraft like in SA.
