When you run a race you have the option to run it solo. You are asked if your sure that you want to do it alone. Once you click yes everthing seems the same but it is actually not because finishing the race, obviously as the winner, does not count towards your wins/loss record. This means that racing solo is a specially coded environment in some way.

 

Under this assumption I would like to suggest that that be put to better use.

We need an option to restart a solo race at any point during said race.

Quite often people run solo for the purposes of running time trials. Nothing sucks more than missing a boost or slipping a little too much in turn 1 or 2 and knowing your time is ruined but you now have to finish the rest of the race or leave and reload from scratch.

During a race, if you pull up your phone and click the job icon you can click X to delete the job thus leaving the race. Simply add another option to restart the race from the start grid (not the lobby).

 

Another possible option since ghost mode is becoming available soon is to give solo racers the option to have a ghost representing the best time as per your setting (friend/crew/global/self).

If i'm doing that i run my own clock so i can always stop it and reset to the point i messed up and start on from there but i do understand your wondering behind it.
