I love killing friends of friends because, dammit, I should be all the friendship they need.

My code is if my friends friend so much as looks at me funny or an aggressive manner, yeah he's getting shot in the face.

How can someone look at you "funny" in the game?

All the chars look funny so how can you tell if he's looking at you funny or not?

I voted no because there's already a solution to it and it's one I've been using for months.

Join their crew.

Even if it's only for one session, the benefits easily outweigh the irritations of having to switch crews. Just make sure everyone you're playing with is in the same crew and it's not a problem.

Of course this doesn't stop the intentional killing...

100% yes I've run into this problem one too many times

:^: Absolutely we need this. I need to mark temporary friends (or temporary enemies) in the session so I know who to kill. I have gotten killed so many times, when I hesitate to try to determine if a white dot is a friendly. And he isn't. :bored:

Then everyone would join the game and have a dot because you get put in a friend's lobby with a friend and then you don't know who's who and some people won't care and will still shoot. No, no offence, but this is a dumb idea. I DO THINK that they should have the crew member attack priority off like the friend attack priority though.

I like the idea. Sure it can and probably will be abused but if you treat "friends friends" with caution until they prove themselves you should be alright. Its not something that can't be resolved with everyone using mic's though.

I get stuck in those situations where its like "Is that you over by the such and such?" and then you have to wait for their reply and sometimes its too late and its an enemy who ends up killing you. For the time being I just have temp adds for friends of friends so I know who they are, but this brings me back to what I suggested on a previous thread a while back.

We should be able to assign blip colours to people. Your friends will have the blue circle around them like normal and you can choose what colour you want the other blips to be. Lets say your friends friend was in the lobby too. To tell him apart from all the white dots you highlight his blip a shade of blue or whatever colour you want so you know its a friendly. You can do this with enemies too by highlighting them a shade of red so you know who to target or who to avoid. But silly Rockstar didn't implement this and ruined the good blip system GTA 4 had by making everyone a white dot.

Explain to me how it's dumb then.

I voted yes, but i think it should only apply when your actual friend (whom i don't know IRL anyway most of the time) is online in the same session, i don't have to be friends with all of them.

Most off the time this doesn't become an issue. If FoF kills or is killed we apologize, laugh and move on. Sometimes you get the jackoff new guy who "seemed cool yesterday" that thinks repeated RPG kills are the funniest thing ever. Usually attracting the undivided attention of half a dozen people doesn't work out in their best interests.

Maybe they could get some other kind of marker. Maybe instead of a minimap color ring put something that hovers over their head similar to the highlighted or passive players have.

Then you clearly can't do that

Haha yeah, the uncomfortable position you find yourself when you aren't helping your friend who is getting killed by your other friend.

The part where you didn't think through your post before making it is the main issue here.

Lets start with "you don't know who is who". That's the whole bloody point of this idea. If Person A and Person B are friends, then Person C joins the lobby and is only friends with Person A, Person B and Person C have no visual manner of identifying that they are potentially allies here as opposed to enemies. So then Person B and Person C start killing one another, because they don't know any better and person A has to waste time texting or using a mic to stop it, which would be completely unnecessary with a friends-of-friends identifier implemented.

"Some people won't care and will still shoot" - How on Earth is this even a counter point? Friends already kill friends, some crews engage in killing their own members. Literally nothing changes if they start killing each other, people will deal accordingly.

Tabula Rasa

Just be in the same crew; or add them as a friend.

Reach out, there are some good systems in place already that allow you to be lazy.

when it comes to some stupid sh*t, people will jump all around saying "ADD THIS! ADD THAT!" but when its a legitimate idea for something that numerous people have had problems with, all you get is "that's a dumb idea, why would they add that? just waste your time adding them on your crew and friends list then delete them later."

i don't understand how people could be so opposed to something that doesn't negatively impact anyone, and only fixes something to positively impact friendly PvP killing...

Okay. I kinda did just re-read what I wrote and it did kind of sound stupid. But, I did think before I posted. I was just thinking of the wrong idea.

Yes, because people are retarded and don't remember names they've just seen like the other day. Their memory doesn't pay attention to details.

Also, it would come in handy when you meet a friendly and one of your friends is a shoot first kind of person.

Rockstar needs to add Crew Attack Priority,I was expecting it to come with 1.12 but Rockstar is too busy fixing crap.

Also,an option for crews to form allies with other crews and allied crew members recongnised in game as friends.

I agree I always have to tell my friends not to shoot other friends but then what happens if one of my friends has a friend come into the session then we both have to tell friends. At some point it just gets too confusing. If you thing you'll be playing with this person even occasionally just add them
