el carlitos
Nice, you are doing a great job. I can imagine that it´s not easy to do quite everything by yourself, but you made it and you made it very professional and clean. I would love to own a Beatle. It´s a very nice car. Was looking for one but at the end I bought an 80s Mercedes. Are you going to lower it or keep it original?
unopescio
Keep it mostly original with a few little changes. (Unique paint colour, lowback seats, seat and door panel upholstery, hubcaps, whitewall tires, removed rear bumper bar, us spec rear taillights)

el carlitos
Nice job, I like the wheels a lot. So, how is it going? Going to be ready for this Spring? Just for inspiration, think about lowering a little, Like 40/40mm. It will give it a little sporty touch but still comfortable and keeping quite the original look. unopescio
Yeah I might lower it eventually, right now my priorities is just getting it road worthy, speaking of which, today was a very important day.... I came home this afternoon to find a brand new chrome starter motor waiting for me, the old one bit the dust over a month ago so Ive just been stuck with nothing to do on the car. I wrangled it in, dropped in the back and front seats, and took my beetle for its first official drive in years. I only went around the block because its unregistered and there were a couple small problems with the accelerator that need fixing, but for the most part shes done... Pics of her on the road to come very shortly! This 4 year project is coming to an end! GrudgefromSanAndreas, trip, SirWillC and 2 others

unopescio
Well its been a little while, definitely overdue for an update. For the most part over the last few months Ive been hunched over in the bonnet fully rebuilding the electrical systems (I'm finally coming to understand what everything does and how in great detail) installing a radio and speaker, and really giving everything in that part of the car a real proper adjustment and finer finish. Basically it came time to put together the venting system for the fuel tank as well as all the hoses for the fresh air system and I realised what a colossal clusterf*ck all the wiring really was. After avoiding it for a few weeks I came to the conclusion that the only option was to tear absolutely everything out and rebuild it from scratch, everything is now neat, labeled and organised. Here are the results. SirWillC, GrudgefromSanAndreas, direstraits and 2 others
