Were the taxis roaming online removed?

Some weeks ago when we got the 1.10 and 1.11 patches, I started to see taxis roaming the streets in GTA Online.

 

However, I don't remember seeing a single taxi driving online since the latest 1.12 patch.

 

Did they remove this new feature?

I'm talking about the roaming taxis, not the taxi we can call with the phone.

Ive noticed this too.ive seen them spawn only once since the 1.12

This is true!

 

I played yesterday with 4 others; there was really a limited amount of traffic and pedestrians.

 

When 3 others left; we were with only two in the session. Traffic and pedestrians were spawning at least two or three times as much. :S really weird...

Vehicle & pedestrian spawning in this game is really weird, yesterday I joined a session and drove most of the way through the city and didn't see a single car or pedestrian anywhere!

The spawning can depends on what else is going on, if somebody has a high wanted level then the system needs to spawn cops and everything else, so can't handle that much ped traffic.

i haven't seen taxi's in gtao in a long time, i don't even see them listed in my phone's contact list anymore (not that i used them that much anyways).

Every time I play it seems there's only 2 different car models spawning in the area. There'll be 10 of the same exact cars all stopped at a redlight.. it's strange too because it I've noticed in the past it wasn't like that.

 

Its been so long since an update I hope the next one really fixes a lot of the recent issues.

They mostly appears in Solo Session and sometimes in Invite-Only lobby. When I meant mostly for Solo, I mean like much less spawn when compared to Story Mode.
