What's better rare or popular?

I'm basically asking you people what kind of cars are in your garage. Do you have some rare cars, or cars that everyone else in the game has? Also name your favorite car that you have in GTA online

I would say popular is better, granted some of them may be overrated but those cars are generally good.

I lean more towards popular than rare. My favorite car would be either the Vigero or Serrano.

I have the tailgater franklins car and the nemesis so i guess kind of rare im a fan of the comet.

I don't care if something's rare or popular. I just go for the vehicles that either perform well or look good.

Rare cars are generally horrible to look at with the exception of Frank's Buffalo and the rare trans am thing (Phoenix?).

 

Popular things in games are usually better. Look games like CoD and Battlefield where it is easily visible the most popular guns are the best guns in the game.

Popular: Banshee, Jester, Turismo R, Voltic, Sentinel, Dominator and Infernus (destroyed)

In my garage at the moment I have a Vapid Sandking XL, Canis Mesa (Merryweather), Enus Cognoscenti Cabrio and my very first vehicle I obtained, Bravado Gauntlet. Would probably say the Mesa and Cognoscenti are the rarest.

check my sig......i lean towards......rariety. only two cars i have that arent rare/unique/special/glitched in some way, entity and primo. once we get more garage space im gonna be looking to dupe a guitar tornado and hot rod blazer off someone....if the glitch is still around

 

and i still have cars for offroad, suv, sports, and super races. also waiting for more garage space to get a bike and coupe....cause i cant let any of my precious's go.....

besides, most of the "rare" cars are boring and generic looking, or they're just flat-out garbage

 

the Phoenix is a great find if you want something nice to look at but it's handling is far from the best

 

Frank's Buffalo is only "rare" in the sense that less than 50% of the GTAO population have it (i'd imagine anyway) and it can only be obtained via glitch, but that's also a nice car to have, fun to mod and it handles well

yea..... theres some other ....rare..... stuff floating around out there.........not ONLY that buffalo......

 

....but im w you on the phoenix... i had one but got rid of real quick....... its a deathtrap if someones chasing you, and a poor racer......almost-but-not-quite-good-looking enough to balance out its poor handling

i wouldn't say that

 

i think people only say that's the reason simply because the higher-end supercars/sports cars are pricey, meaning people can't genuinely like them for looks or performance, but if that were the case then we would be seeing sh*tloads of stingers and Z-Types on the roads also, in comparison to adders and entities.

 

i think the Adder (and maybe the entity, but to a lesser extent) are the only cars you can half apply that argument to, because the Bugatti Veyron is already overhyped by people who take more interest in the pricetag on it's windshield than the car itself, but it still has it's true fanbase out there

 

Entity doesn't seem to have as bad of a rep, from what i've seen personally, people get them mostly to race with, already knowing that it's a good racing car

 

the Turismo and Jester are popular for the same reason the Roosevelt was - 'cuz they're new. only difference is that those two cars stuck around

 

now you see lots of Turismos on the road, and that car's price is just barely over the infernus, a supercar you don't see much of on the road. however, it costs less than the Cheetah, which you also don't see too much of.

 

and as of recently, you'll see a lot of Turismos and Jesters attending races, in place of what probably used to be an Adder/Entity or a Feltzer/whatever other sports car was considered top dog in it's class.

 

BASICALLY, i think it isn't as much about price as it is about what makes the car what it is- keep in mind, they're priced that way for a reason

Agree with you on Sports Classics class but the yoloswag crowd really doesn't buy that class of car much so you don't see many chrome Z-types.

 

Maybe a better way to say it is Popular = Status Symbol, whether you see status symbol as a yoloswag common Adder or a tastefully modded Z-type is in the eye of the owner.

Too many people choose their cars based on whether they're the best in their class ie; "is this what the best racers drive?" I drive what makes me happy.
