Some useful Animations please R*?

The jerk and air-hump animations are fun and a staple of passive trolling, but can we get something like a simple wave or pointing/head shake animation for basic communitcation.

Every time I see a hideously painted car, I just wish my character could do this:

There are so many things that various game studios have figured out over the years and useful emotes were nailed solid by various MMOs more than a decade ago. This and similar weaknesses are why I'm sure that Rockstar are NOT gamers but are instead coding from an ivory tower.

Even Saints Row has better emotes than R*, hell I miss the taunts from GTA IV. "Go f*ck yourself with a machete!"

I think the fact you (or failing that, the majority of people) have a mic defeats the purpose of that kind of stuff.

I miss the taunts (like much else) from San Andreas. You could choose to speak positive or negative. Then in IV, Rockstar were all like 'what? People don't compliment each other. Let's just make them all antagonistic.' Then in V, it's reduced to what, making f*ck gestures?

I wish R* would play their game though. The "Devs" that play only play for like, 3 hours or less, and then go back coding again for months.

I disagree. GTA does 3 things better than Saint's Row: maps, vehicles and vehicle handling. If Volition nails these, Rockstar will only have its loyal fanbase to keep them afloat.

Waving hello would be nice.

Pointing would be helpful.

If it wasn't for over-the-top stuff, I would be playing Saints Row 4 right now. The customizing and content in that game is amazing.

The amount of DLC it has, though, is like cash cards.

A hold hands in the air gesture would be cool, either as a "surrender" or a "sorry I just Fked up".

I have played Saints Row 4, and... as much as I hate to say this.... I agree with you. Rockstar needs to learn from Volition now and realize customization means more than seeing your car slowly deform. The clothes in Saints Row are much better than in Grand Theft Auto Online, the female model isn't cheaped out there. It even has those small detail physics (Breasts, hair) that makes it more awesome. Long hair doesn't look fabulous in Saints Row with the physics as it only does the lower end. But it still is something.

 

The way you can customize your character is awesome, you can try to make a character look as close as the person playing the game as it can get.

In Grand Theft Auto, everyone has the same face. Even a NPC looks better than your own character. There it's the other way. You can look better than a NPC.

 

I paused Grand Theft Auto Online to play Saints Row IV.

 

 

Rockstar, please, take notes. Just some fancy graphics doesn't mean the world. We want to make our characters our character. The way we want. Allow more customization.
