Was the heavy sniper neafed?

I've been noticing whenever i shoot my enemy's body or head. theres like only little health left on them when they kill me. This has never happen before patch 1.11.. it's power is like similar to the regular sniper like wth? well that was pointless of buying that heavy sniper now was it?

no. i've heard it's happen to a few other people. actually the Heavy sniper's damage stat was at maximum and now when you look at it. it's like 3 pixels were taken away.

I think I've experienced what the OP is talking about. Usually the heavy sniper is a one-shot-kill affair but every now and then a shot that seems perfectly placed does surprisingly little damage. Just today I was sniping people from a rooftop and one guy took four well-placed hits from the heavy sniper rifle before he went down. The next time I killed him it took just one not-as-well-placed shot.

If they went 100% realism with the guns this game would be sh*t. People moan about the police now, with realistic gun damage they would be f*cked.

LOL yeah imagine that, you would be dead before you even heard the siren with their accuracy. The shotgun cop is already like that if he gets close enough whilst your back is turned.

 

On topic, I headshot a guy with the heavy a few nights ago and he still had a tiny bit of health left with which he killed me as a re-lined up for the second shot. Maybe there are other factors to it but I know for sure that my first shot was a headshot. Just to rub salt into the wound he was using the regular sniper and was about 200 levels lower than me.

I think it has to do with the level of the player. Level 100+ sometimes survive my first shot but lower levels tend to drop like good beat.

try shooting cars or bikes, they have more health (so to speak) so the difference in damage would be more noticable

would have to do it pre-patch as well which would mean removing the patches and doing it in SP or something

In real life, you wouldn't search for cover behind a car door either. You couldn't crash in the walls with 200 mph, and the Barrett wouldn't lose some 9mm shells like in GTA.
