Let's just not do some dumb sh*t like making the entire game world be virtual and creating a mediocre bad guy that I honestly got tired of after the intro scene, because that would really suck. And please make characters actually feel like CHARACTERS. What they did to Donnie in that moronic DLC is a joke. I mean I just see him as a different guy entirely. So Volition, please do yourselves a favour and make it at least somewhat seem like these games are part of the same franchise, for the love of god. From what I've read online the game was seriously popular you had hardcore gta fans singing its praises so why did they duck for cover and make saints row 3 ? for money ? please ! there've lost money (a lot of it btw) as a result of that sh*t. I don't get it ? I've never seen this happen before ? You had a game that worked and would generate profit and instead you butcher it beyond belief. Can someone explain ? Did rockstar stand over them somehow ? I legit don't understand ? For the record I own saints row 3 I rate it decent /good but you gotta look at it for what it is gta V made a billion. That's cash money in their pocket. Who's to say that saints row couldn't make $500mil if they came with everything they had at their disposal in saints row 3 and throw every '' punch'' they had in their arsenal. Yes. Yes. Yes. It would make SO much sense if that were to happen. Your character, the king of Stilwater one day takes a hit of some drug and gets put into a coma or some drugged up state. They wake up in a new or lawless Stilwater only to find out that they've been unconscious for a long period of time (there's people that can make the rest of the details up, but bear with me). So, your character progresses through the story or has tidbits of dialogue talking about the events of SR3 & SR4, and everyone fails to believe him/her. We see the remnants of Pierce, Shaundi, and Gat. We also see what happens (or what happened) to Dex. Our protagonist is then met with problems that occurred while he/she was out. Thus, begins a whole nother game. We then get a chance to experience a story-driven game with the funniness of SR2 in this new installment of Saints Row. Seriously... that would be dope. The same side missions over and over and over and over and over, for the love of f'in god it was annoying. SR4 either need to lay off the side quests or give a much bigger varity. Completey agreed with this. I was a massive fan of the first 2 and TT and IV just destroyed any fandom I had left in me for Volition. Absolute garbage. Far as I'm concered Volition is dead and so is Saints Row. Unless SR5 is anything like SR2 (which is my favorite) then I'm not even going to bat an eye. Daz Posted June 16, 2014 Share Posted June 16, 2014 They really need a reboot, and an advancement on the engine. Get the driving and shooting physics down and make them really fun. Throw every customizable option of all games into it, let US choose if we want to be silly and over the top or serious, don't force it down our throats. Give us 2-4 player story co-op or at least some sort of sandbox for multiple people. Bring back all the old SR2 features like picking up objects and throwing them, the fighting system, dedicated power kick buttons to launch peds into space. A whole f*ckload of awesome cheats and physics based modifiers. Then, you might have a game. But really I think the only way to save this franchise is to create a perfect sandbox, put decent work on the map and atmosphere. Add a new dimension by having 2 or more players in full story co-op. Or a similar GTA style 16 player mayhem in the whole game map. I want some effort and time spent on it, and not just a rehash of an old map with old assets. It really needs to try to be a good game in it's own right, and not just a glorified DLC to make some cash. Kicking grannies off the beach into orbit or throwing them like darts with sticky bombs attached at police helicopters at high altitudes. It's rumored that it will come out in 2015, as there was a little joke in game with a piece of text saying "Dead Island X Saints Row COMING 2015" in game. I doubt it's a crossover, since Dead Island 2 is coming out in 2015. This likely teased that Dead Island 2 and Saints Row 5 will be coming out that year. Saints 2 was so awesome, it had customizations, awesome fighting, cool guns, a story that got you to really love/hate the characters and such an fun city to explore! I want to see Watch-Dog fighting mechanics with an Assassins Creed free run style.Add a splinter cell cqc feel, and hitman stealth. That game would be gold!
