They look like superheroes in the newer ones Yup. The body proportions are little messed up, even the scrawniest man you can create will still look like a hulking mountain of muscle. Bringing layers back would certainly be nice too. I'd like a bit more customizable safehouses, SR2-style too. Picking and choosing what you really want the place to be like (including the exterior) rather than the pre-determined designs of TT and IV. I mean a new one, with new characters, new map, new story. This would mean no Boss, no Gat, no Pierce, no Shaundi etc.. I think their story is pretty much done, unless they go with that GOOH ending. Looks don't mean anything if the customization and freedom of choice is so dull with it. Cant just leave us hanging like that I've never seen a professional storywriter does his thing so badly that a story of rising gangster ends up being captured by alien and then Satan kidnapped the leader which made the muscle and brainiac lieutenants literally visited hell. The end of "Revelation" with Julius in SR2 was almost out of a different version of the game. There's a reason a lot people miss the OG storyline and are fond of it despite it's flaws. For me, the blandness in the world in every game after 2 is what killed it. Steelport is honestly one of the most blah game maps I've ever played. SR1 era Stillwater wasn't amazing, but at least it had some character. Add in the fact that they started taking away the ways that you could interact with the world, and it just sealed the deal for me. There's a reason a lot people miss the OG storyline and are fond of it despite it's flaws. SR2's story is honestly quite underrated, in my opinion. Not the most complex story around, but the writing was solid, the cutscenes were well directed with great voice acting and it balanced the lighthearted, over-the-top fun, with character-driven drama exceptionally well. The whole Brotherhood arc was just great, a dark, twisted descent into vengeance-fueled, destructive hatred. But that's just the most obvious example, the game was full of serious, grim moments like this. It utilized the mood whiplash really well, you were playing this lighthearted game with fun characters that quickly grew on you and then it always hit you with straight-faced tragedy or a truly disturbing event of needless violence. It played with your expectations and perceptions of the characters and in the process, added so much depth to the story that would be otherwise just blunt careless farce (see: TT). I actually think IV was a bit of a step in the right direction, in how they played with the characters' fears and insecurities and used the relationships between them. In 1 and 2 he was awesome but 3 (oh right...)and 4 they went too over the top with his one liners and attidute, I mean he wasnt funny at all and I can't even remember a single cool scene from 3/4. Remember how he told the judge to shove a hammer up her ass in SR2? Or the whole Aisha thing? GOOH was just sh*t. It's like they wanted to make a badass return so f*cking badly but failed.
