What is the recommended course of action when facing TANK?

I've destroyed plenty of tanks on foot, just have to be smart about it. Plenty of spots and roofs in the game that allow you to rain down rpgs, grenades, and stickys on tanks just firing away at the ledge. It does get expensive tho

Passive mode, find a decent tank-proof raised surface (behind a railing, or on a balcony, for example), and use the 'quick action' function to offer gestures of ...encouragement to the tank driver. Normally winds up with them wasting a good five minutes trying to ram/shoot you - by which point they'll either have enough cops on them to shoot their tank to smithereens, or they'll just rage-quit.

Not the most creative or productive trick, but it's good for a bit of tank-trolling...

running (or driving away) from a tank can be a good option, the other night i had to deal with two tank griefers in the same session in los santos, they blew me up a few times.

Wallbreachers think they're so cute until you realise if you shoot near the bottom portion of the wall the tank shot will either kill them due to blast radius, or go THROUGH the wall.

I personally saw a dude get blasted out of the wall breach at the parking garage by a tank that approached it from the side, not the front (where the cops constantly attack). Like if you were to keep on going up a little ways in that grassy area instead of going into the wall breach itself. I was in passive at the time, just bugging the piss out of the dude hoping he'd get tired of me and leave the breach so I could shoot him. When he died, I immedately leapt for the "gray area" looking to pop up somewhere outside away from the cops and tank.

 

My favorite thing to do to tanks is the ol' 5-sticky-bomb off-radar Allah Akbar. Expensive? Yes. Fun? Yes.

Another tank (a method I use), just change sessions (which I also do), load a car with stickies for a suicide run, or don't get caught in a tank spawn trap (using common sense). Best advise is to just stay away from them and you'll be ok.

Sniping was stupid. What is the point of a tank then? Tanks are powerful in real life, and they should be powerful in the game too. There are still many ways to defeat them though. If you can't, then you run.

Just to be clear, I bought a tank just recently, and I don't abuse it However, I do find it fun being attacked by one.

There is. There's sticky grenades, invented for use against tanks, there's an rpg, a grenade launcher, jets.... and if all else fails there's passive mode.

Get yourself in a jet! The jet is the only practical solution and has less risk of being being killed by players in tanks. If you want tips on jets look up original tonks on YouTube.
