Problem with new vehicle (in GTA III)

Last time,I tried to add the Deluxo(from the GTA 3 HD car pack first,along with it's default.ide line,and carcol line) to the game,and I added it on ID#157,but in-game,when I tried to spawn it(with a car spawner) the game freezed,only to get an unhandled exception.I tried moving the vehicle to ID#158,but the results were the same!! I even tried to add the Deluxo from VC as well(converted it's texture for GTA 3 with txd workshop, and added it again to ID#157,using a renamed copy of the Kuruma default.ide line),but in game, the game freezed when I tried to spawn it.Does the ID have a problem?Did i do something wrong? For that,I need help,and some good advice on how to solve this problem.

 

Note:For collision file,I used a copy of Stinger's collision.As for carcol,I used the original VC Deluxo's carcol line.

Remember that not all carcols from VC are supported in III. But anyway, why do you want to stick up with id 158 or 157? If you downloaded this mod from somewhere, there will be an instruction WHICH car do you need to replace. You can't replace any car you want.

You added the car texture in txd.img?

You added the car texture in txd.img?

 

Of course I added it.But I still don't know what's exactly the problem.

That's the video I saw yesterday,and followed the instructions.But I didn't understand the convert part very well.

 

Well,I tried again,but I can't spawn it.It freezed the game with this unhandled exception:

 

Unhandled exception: c0000005

At address: 0052d113

 

Did I made something wrong?

The conversion part is easy..look at the txd in the program..if it says gta vice city down there,just change it to gta3 and it might work

I did exactly as you said.I converted the txd,I put it on txd.img,but still,the car is not spawning,and the game is crashing when I'm tryng to spawn it.I don't want to piss you off,my friend.I just want to enjoy a nice ride with a Deluxo in GTA 3. I think that there is something wrong with the model(or defeult.ide line),and not the ID,but I can't find what's wrong.

I used a copy of the Kuruma default.ide line.Is there something wrong?

no...i dunno why...look at the col if you name it good..some people might have written wrong and thats why it wont lork

As for the coll,I used a copy of the Stinger,since I couldn't find a good collision for the Deluxo.But I'll have a look at it.

 

Well, I had a look at it,and I see that I forgot to rename it.I did it, but...no positive result(it keeps crashing with an unhandled exception,when I'm trying to spawn it). I don't know what to do next.

You can use the normal VC Deluxo collision.

I put the VC Deluxo's collision to vehicles.col file in GTA 3,and still,it's not working.It's always freezing the game(with the unhandled exception error) when I'm trying to spawn it.

 

Nevermind,I solved it.Now I can really enjoy a ride with Deluxo in Liberty City.Thanks for your(good and helpful) advice my friends.

 

One more question: How can I make the Deluxo a bit more faster?

Of course I will tell:

 

In default.ide,I copied the Kuruma line,and renamed it as Deluxo(keeping Kuruma's handling)on ID#151.

In carcols.dat,I copied the Kuruma's carcol line,and renamed it Deluxo

In vehicles.col,I used Deluxo's collision from VC.

 

I think these steps will help on how I solved the problem for Deluxo.

151, deluxo, deluxo, car, MAFIA, DELUXO, richfamily, 10, 7, 0, 161, 0.7

I think the Mafia one fits in more, since the Deluxo has low acceleration and feels heavy in comparison to the Infernus :p
