How does bad sport work?

I have 3 days left in bad sport for blowing up cars. I am rebel against a game where killing is A OK but blowing up cars is a 'bad sport'

 

I start off in bad sport and then 10 minutes later my dunce cap is gone and I am in normal lobbies

 

Then It flashes up I have 3 days left in bad sport when I am clearly in a normal lobby.

 

Usually my first 30 minutes online is bad sport and then I am back in the normal lobbies while wearing my dunce cap, get alot of comments on 'What is a bad sport doing here'

 

 

I dont understand my situation, this has been going on for weeks. Why do I keep going in and out?

Yeah it one respect it's kinda cool as I can get out of doing my bad sport time, on another respect it's to ambiguous never know whether Rockstar will be sport me or normal lobby me which makes it hard to play with friends,

Bad sport is broken, you didnt get out its just that every 30mins you will become a clean player TEMPORARILY allowing you to go into a clean player lobby. Your timer will reset when you do this, so you'll spawn into a clean player lobby with your dunce cap.

Not sure what is going on with the new badsport system. When I was in BS it would kick me from BS lobbies to the cheaters pool, eject me to good sport lobbies and back to badsport.

 

When you breifly visit good sport lobbies users are able to report you. This may be effecting the BS timer. Also blowing up 1 car in BS increases the timer as does running over passive players and quiting missions.

ive actually made it my goal to buy a tank for the sake of just getting around in free roam without having to worry about people blowing my car up. thats my main goal.

 

on the other hand, a lot of missions would make good use of the tank instead of a car. slow as hell but at least you cant be killed in it during a mission if you are smart about it.

 

i can just imagine free roaming in it, doing absolutely nothing to nobody, but people report me anyway just because im in a tank...staring at them.

It's broken. Just got out of a 16 dayer (im noob badsport aka apprentice aka novice) met a guy who had a 30 day sentence which started 3 months ago. LOLOL

 

So no it doesn't work.

I fell on this sword earlier. I use my tank as Mjolnir, striking down squeakers.

 

Alas, one squeaker crew was all it took to vote me to bad sport and earn me my very first dunce cap not half an hour ago. I'm not really bothered, haven't played the bad sport lobby yet but I imagine it'll be good for a chuckle.

there is a bug that cause your dunce cap to disappear, during that time you can join regular lobbies.

 

when you spawn at the regular lobby, you would have the dunce again. if you pause the game and go to info>notifications there you would see a message that say "you have left bad sport, you have been forgiven bla bla bla", followed by the bad sport notification.

 

everytime this happen your timer would get reset.

 

i when into bad sport for 4 days and was classed as bad sport for 51 days thanks to this bug.

 

anyway if you want your cap to come off quicker so you can move into a regular server, all you have to do is play any mission. some 5 minutes after you finish the mission the dunce would disappear.

Here's a little tip

 

after getting the bad sport message with the timer, turn your console off as fast as possible.
