i've been at the beach knocking people out trying to level up my strength, they keep dropping money and something else. i thought it was snacks but i have the same amount that i had before, what else are these people dropping?

Just money and snacks. If you don't have full health, you'll immediately consume it upon picking it up.

 

I've heard some drop cigarettes, but I can't verify that.

Fat NPCs drop Snack bars most of the time which I find to be quite hilarious. Those little details R* put in the game

in missions like survival mode enemies can drop weapons as well as money and snacks.

I was wondering how I ended up with some smokes when I was sure I smoked them all.
