It's like the rumors that tires have different performances..or certain upgrades affect the performance because of weight. Rockstar has never confirmed it, but it'd be nice if they put these theories to rest because it is pretty annoying. If it's only cosmetic..fine, then at least we know and don't have numerous people on Reddit claiming it does while making videos of it.
